I was concerned we wouldn't get the slap stick in there, and was happy to see him behind the clarinet.
yeah.. it was kinda hard because the slapstick video didn't have the slapstick visually in it, but luckily he was behind the clarinet LOL

I hate living in a small school with a small band. Songs like this is pretty much impossible because we have pathetic people who just use the class as a cheap and easy “A” . So we only really have like 4 real enthusiastic musicians.

Im in orchestra but we're so unbalanced. We have all the talent in the low strings and less violins than violas. We also just got a new teacher who cant conduct or teach for the life of him.
That's my band too! We only have 18 people and only about 3 of us actually take it seriously! The rest goof off and don't even practice 😔

As a flute player I would like to say Gabrielle did a wonderful job! It’s not hard to play this song (trust me I have tried) And she nailed it! Well done! ^^
I see we focused on practically every instrument in the Band but the French Horns (yes, I saw the group shot with the Horn in the upper right hand corner) and I know why. After playing this thing just under a million times (possibly a SLIGHT exaggeration) in both Bands , Orchestras, and probably several other ensembles I've forgotten about including just a couple of days ago in a Concert, the reason I know why they didn't focus on the Horn(s) is because there is nothing to focus on. We are essentially playing a Sousa March (almost all off-beats). Hell, if the Horns are bored with it why on earth would you put a camera on that? So, I understand the lack of Horns in this one. And yes, we Horn players probably need some therapy if you've been playing this for over 40 years! Or is that just me?

Description of every instrument in a band:
Trumpets: Trying not to play Industry Baby
Clarinets: Being nerds and always squeaking
Bass Clarinet: Always squeaks
Flute and piccolo: Literally never heard
Tenor trombone and Baritone: Quarter note go brrrrr
Bass Trombone: The cooler trombone
French Horns: Always playing the same notes for the 900 counts
Percussionist: Counting their rest like solving the trajectory of a rocket ship
Alto Sax: Them and playing careless whisper
Tuba: Honk
Oboes: And sounding like a Kazoo and Clarinet in one
Bassoons: Literally forgotten

As a Horn player I was thinking the exact thing. It’s like any other Sousa march. Which is a shame, I think the horn would work really well in this song if it were to have a more varying part.
Kudos to Soledad on the Euphonium...manages to hide behind the instrument the entire time and show nothing but the manicure...

for our school concert, there were percussion members with the wood blocks that during the cracks popped out from behind somewhere in the audience and it was so awesome to see everyone's reaction, they enjoyed it so much
