Could never work out the rotating foot thing until I watch this yesterday. Tried it today. Worked brilliantly. Thanks for this great explanation.

Thank you so much Ben, this changed my whole paradigm on turning my longboard. Some instructors just don't know how to tell you the precise way to pivot turn. Brilliant!

Hey Kraig!! So stoked it’s helpful and you enjoyed - it can be a tricky thing to convey to others - I hope this helped somewhat to clear things up 🙏

I think I’m going to practice these methods on flat water. I tried practicing in the lineup but I couldn’t turn it in time and I kept eating it. Great video and great explanations.

Appreciate all your great content. This was helpful, wasn’t keeping my arms forward. Underwater shots on the pivot were alsouseful for seeing how you adjust the angle of your foot as you do the rotation.
Seeing how quick you are able to turn gave a sense of what to aim for. Thanks Ben🤙

Nice footage! I’d love to see what you are seeing down the line, then back to the breaking wave, from a head cam. Still want see a video on balance exercises, like surfing opposite foot or switching regular to goofy, surfing perpendicular, forwards or backwards when no one is the water on the small mushy days 😊John 3:16 10:32

      Hey Lance!!! Love it
My next video I’m thinking of incorporating the aspect of what we need to look for down the line - maybe for cross stepping/noseriding. Might give a good idea for what cues the wave can provide us to let us know it’s a good spot for a noseride!!
      Cheers Lance 🤙🤙🙏

I started to hate surfing after returning to it after a decade and some injuries. Now I just get pounded by waves or nosedive, painful ribs, no rides. Tried a longboard to get into waves earlier but still cant catch. The pros make surfing look easy but its certainly not and can be brutal.
