A thing I’ve started doing instead of screwing on a face plate on, i now drill a 40mm hole with a Forstner bit and mount it on your chuck so much easier.

I agree, especially with well cut blanks

I'll give it a try. I haven't got a pilar drill, so hopefully I can drill a decent hole. Thanks

Nice! And oak? Well, finished so smooth!

The most impressive part was that he did it in 8 minutes. It takes me 90 to 120 minutes to turn an oak bowl like that.

I had to sharpen my bowl gouge 3x during this bowl. Oak is just savage!

IKR? And if you think oak is savage, try turning osage orange. Recently, I was sharpening often enough that I just switched to carbide for a small, 6" pedastal bowl.

Nice piece of work. That foot idea is interesting. Have you ever seen someone take a thin piece of wood and use it to do a burn line like with a cable. Maybe you could do that in that foot.

It's something that I definitely want to explore further. Thanks for watching 😎👍

Hello, we’re do you get your wood labels and how do you get the same size hole each time without measuring for the labor?I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks Albert

I have a laser engraver, so I burn the discs myself on 3mm hardboard. I hand finish the discs, so I trim each one to size on a sanding wheel, making each one a custom fit. Thanks
