Very honest review. The revenge trucks have always been just for carving, but in the last years globe offered them in surfskate setups or at least the shops presented them as surfskate bringing confusion to the inexperienced riders. Your video is going to be very useful ..also this setup looks on point, perfect for cruising and carving.
Good review, of the review. And yes, Revenge trucks are made to carve, but if you watch at 7:15 in the video he dose a power slide STOP! I have had Revenge trucks (Wide) with 75m hard wheels on a much longer board (47" Renny Yater with NO flex, but a deep rocker that locks your feet in.) This board can be stop in 5' from 20 miles per hour, It's like skid stopping a fixie. If you want to experience this 1) be sure you know how to do a hands free power stop. 2) Be sure that your wheels are of the highest quality and have a SOLID center (I have had softer, cheaper wheels fly off mid slid). If you do know how to control your speed with Revenge trucks, you can drop any Mountain road, regardless of the grade.
thanks Shane - am looking into different surfskate trucks (have Carver CX, as well as various Paris / Randall staggered & wedged setups), your succinct note that they're not really a pumping truck, but more of a cruisy truck, helped inform the direction i think i'll head. thanks again!
After I got my Yow, I loved surfskating so much that I sold my longboard and thought that I didn't need any other board. Your review makes me want to go out and buy the Globe, which seems to be a hybrid longboard/surfskate. Am I right that, being made out of fiberglass/bamboo composite and so thin, it is also very light?
My friend has a 16" wheel base globe surfskate on the same revenge trucks. And as a beginner, I hate it lol. So difficult to pump and way too unstable for me to push at all. Maybe the longer wheelbase helps. I bought a slide and they are incomparable. I can cruise my slide for hours whereas the revenge trucks, i struggle to pump even 50m up the road, forget about pushing 🤦♂️.
@@klawrence1yt if you pump them a lot they will modify them selfes 🤣, I've seen broken ones, and to me is not a bad thing, more turn = more fun, they will just need a longer deck to handle so much turn in the back truck eventually
Love the review but isn't it just a really nice longboard? I thought these trucks existed way before surfskates we're mainstream. Still really nice review. And the board looks beautiful.

This is the old style from 5 years ago. The current Globe Costa is a Carver C7 clone.

This board makes me think of the Dodger by Landyatchz. I love these thin flexy bamboo boards
Hell yeah - I love revenge trucks
Bushings look special!!!! You know if we find them easily?
Great abs bro! I just picked up a used globe with revenge trucks…not sure if it’s a surf skate or not…confused
Awesome…👌🏽Is this the 31‘ version?
Thank you!! Gracias por el video
Revenge trucks make it easy for fakie. With conservative anti wheel bite structure, it might be good for skateboard, pumpable and trickable.
I wonder if anyone has modified them to turn more
@@klawrence1yt Good idea, I think I will grind some if I have them.
In some slow motions the wheels are pretty close to the deck when it's bent. Looks good to me with this deck and aggressive pumping and turning.

Yeah true. At the end of the day, it's a super surfy Longboard. Not a surfskate.
As usual , really cool video
But, there are too much slow mo , would love to see more your riding in real speed
Its really about showing off the summer bod
So Cool 🇷🇺🇷🇺
Trampoline surfskate? 🤣🙄🤔
