I know this may seem like a dumb question but I like mixing acapellas and such. Im looking to upgrade to a CDJ set-up and was wondering if this can function as a very basic 3rd deck to play a track through at times as well? Is it better getting an actual CDJ as my 3rd deck or would the DJS-1000 work for what I'm trying to do?
Daniel Jeong each pad is currently limited to 32 seconds long but you can have up to 256 pads in a project via 16 scenes. Only one scene can be played at a time (16 pads) but you can change scenes instantly with zero loading time. The 32 second limit is slated to be lifted to 64 seconds in a future update, I believe.

Well the whole point is that there's nothing like a CDJ that has pads like this. If you don't want it, that's fine but you'd be surprised how well it works with a Nexus setup.
DjRavine yeah i agree. for a single deck i could be awesome to be paired with Nexus like the way you showed us. but i love DDJ RZ or RZX instead. similar to this. i mean at least still has jog wheels with less pads :) thanks for the review and replying man ⚡️

I think u can connect it to use as a channel ,but no sink function is possible...as far as I am aware anyway...
