I think I referred to 3D printing when describing how Smart Dolls are made. That is not the right phrase. They use molds and they are assembled by hand. Not sure exactly what the manufacturing process is called.
It’s called slush molding (at least the part of the process for getting the parts, which are latter cut and assembled by hand). The vinyl is poured into the mold and then moved around(by machines, or by hand)to coat the inside of the mold. When the whole mold is covered the excess vinyl is poured out and after waiting till everything cools down the finished part is removed. Sometimes you get a torso or head with a small drip of vinyl on the inside, which shows how it was made :) It’s often used in the car industry.

I love the skin tone together with the freckles and the semi-real face looks great. Thanks for showing her so well and the skin tone comparison was helpful (from the pictures online I thought tea was lighter, but it really has a nice richness to it).

Hi, I just bought a tea doll but I have an extra cinnamon bigger bust. Would it look stupid in tea body? I'm still waiting for the new doll so I can't see it myself how it looks.
It will be noticeably different. But if the doll is wearing maybe a scarf with her top or maybe clothing with a high neckline, it may not be as obvious.
