I love how coming back to this, the lyrics from 0:06 to 0:25 ish fit each character perfectly with each new line. Butcher needing time to think, Homelander only seeing his reflection, Noirs life was taken, Hughie barely made it out of everything without getting less than a year to live, Annie "living different lives" changing from starlight to only Annie. Good stuff, I have to assume its intentional, fits way too well

The first part of the trailer with Homelander looking in the mirror with a bruise on his face. Wonder how he gets that. There’s also the Deep looking into the camera with some women standing behind him and the camera zooms into his eye. Then there’s a part where what looks to be a boy with blood all over his face and he’s screaming. Lastly, Kimiko fighting some armored agent swat looking guy.
Every season this show just gets better and better. Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 somehow got even more crazy. And now seeing this teaser makes me believe S3 will be even more insane. I cant wait.

The Deep's weird journey in the cult looked interesting at first but got old real fast. We get an interesting development when Lamplighter shows up but that gets cut off quickly. Storefront also isn't an interesting character.
I don't recall the last time a trailer got me this hyped about a show, even the dancing scene fit in, they should make this a TV Music video, like they used to do for movies.
Frenchie and Kimiko are my favorite part of the show and MM is a close second. It looks from the trailer like they have some interesting things going on this season!! But I guess we still can't know for sure how much more screentime they're going to get

do they all get powers in the comics? because one of the main draws so far is that 'normal' but highly violent people go against those who far outpace them with supernatural powers. if they'd all to get powers too then it'd really take away from this.

Finally. I didn't think we'd ever get here!! I didn't think they'd go there so I'm pleasantly surprised they brought in the Boys taking compound V storyline. Looks like a few musical numbers, can't wait for those. Jensen Ackles new Soldier Boy looks like he's going to fit in well, he's an amazing actor so can't wait and we also see Crimson Countess and I think a brief glimpse of Gunpowder as well from his old team Payback.
I am glad they are finally coming into it. But it looks like they have completely changed their purpose. In the comics the boys take a basic shot of V just so that if they get punched by a supe, their heads won't explode. But this looks like they are actually giving billy full on homelander powers, which for me, just messes with their final confrontation. Billy has to scheme to get anywhere close to homelander, because of how powerful he is. But if he has the means to be just as powerful as homelander, even temporarily, I dont understand how Billy's endgame wouldn't move up and end the series far to early.

That shot at 1:20 of Soldier Boy slowly smiling but holding back tears has me really questioning if his character hates the things he does but just accepts it and hides the pain

Jensen didn’t turn it down. He got far enough in the audition process before it went to Chris Evans. Marvel offered Jensen the role of Hawkeye, but that’s the one he turned down. At the time, Jensen said that he would have had to stop doing Supernatural had he been cast. However, it’s more likely (though I doubt Jensen himself would outright admit this) that he saw the Hawkeye role offer as a form of consolation prize on Marvel’s part and turned it down because of that.

do they all get powers in the comics? because one of the main draws so far is that 'normal' but highly violent people go against those who far outpace them with supernatural powers. if they'd all to get powers too then it'd really take away from this.

@@quickkev I haven't watched Diabolical yet but I guess I might aswell before the 3rd season is released, it would of made sense if they showed no footage of soldier boy in costume them just keep that last scene as a build up just for suspense. Otherwise it doesn't make sense unless it's some kind of twist that we don't know of, but I don't know anything of the comics so I could be wrong...

Finally. I didn't think we'd ever get here!! I didn't think they'd go there so I'm pleasantly surprised they brought in the Boys taking compound V storyline. Looks like a few musical numbers, can't wait for those. Jensen Ackles new Soldier Boy looks like he's going to fit in well, he's an amazing actor so can't wait and we also see Crimson Countess and I think a brief glimpse of Gunpowder as well from his old team Payback.

I am glad they are finally coming into it. But it looks like they have completely changed their purpose. In the comics the boys take a basic shot of V just so that if they get punched by a supe, their heads won't explode. But this looks like they are actually giving billy full on homelander powers, which for me, just messes with their final confrontation. Billy has to scheme to get anywhere close to homelander, because of how powerful he is. But if he has the means to be just as powerful as homelander, even temporarily, I dont understand how Billy's endgame wouldn't move up and end the series far to early.

Jensen didn’t turn it down. He got far enough in the audition process before it went to Chris Evans. Marvel offered Jensen the role of Hawkeye, but that’s the one he turned down. At the time, Jensen said that he would have had to stop doing Supernatural had he been cast. However, it’s more likely (though I doubt Jensen himself would outright admit this) that he saw the Hawkeye role offer as a form of consolation prize on Marvel’s part and turned it down because of that.

I have watched this trailer even after I finished season 3 probably 300 times. WHOEVER DID THIS DESERVES A DAMN AWARD. This is by far one of the best season trailers I’ve ever seen. To get people so excited purely with visuals and no dialogue is next level. The editing, the choice of music, it’s just mind blowing.
I can’t think of any other trailer so good that the song in it became the unofficial theme song of the show itself
