      16th ranked farm system in baseball, honestly, who do you have to offer in trade?

  • @benjames4502
    @benjames4502 2 дня назад +1

    "the fail-vey's" emphasis this off season has been pitching, Ynoa, Eiberson Castellano while keeping Tonkin and Topa. The likely trade candidates for the twins is jeffers (6.1 million), alcala (1.5 million) and larnach (2.1 million). They have value in trade and saves 9.7 million in payroll while being redundant on the Twins. If Correa was on the trading block, "the fail-vey's" moves would be with position players as in prospect haul from a Correa trade would bring in top controllable pitching.

    I think they will trade him and it would be quite smart to do it now to get as much assets as possible before his decline. The salary is pretty steep for the value provided. He gets injured a lot and over $30 million for half of a season is not worth it.

  • @Rocco-nu1ui
    @Rocco-nu1ui 3 дня назад +2

    His injury prevented him from landing big $$ on a trade. I like him to stay and help the twins.....stay healthy

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 3 дня назад +2

      The Twins payroll drops to around 102 million before arbitration next off season, there's no need to trade him or any other player under contract or arbitration next year.

    The Yankees are going after Bellinger and Santander, they're putting more emphasis on pitching which is why they signed fried and traded for Williams.

      Correa was worth every penny of his salary in just 86 games this past season: All-Star, 152 OPS+ and 3.7 WAR. Teams are interested for good reason.

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 2 дня назад +1

      37 million this year for Correa, 32 million in '26. Correa's contract declines every year after the '25 season, if he has a bounce back year Correa is more likely to get traded next year.

      @moodswing4460 2 дня назад +1

      @@TalkinTwins So an injury prone player is coming off a year he played 86 games and he is still expensive. I wouldn't take the gamble. Teams can sign bregman for cheaper. .

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 2 дня назад +1

      @@moodswing4460the big difference is Correa's contract is up in four years if he doesn't win a silver slugger or MVP, Bregman is after an eight year contract. They both have risks, the reality is no contending team needs Correa's specific services right now outside of the braves and Mariners.

  • @KurtPratt-r4n

    He always wanted to be a met but I think right now bregman is a better fit

      The Mets have vientos at third and Lindor at short. It's very likely they will bring back Alonso or pivot to walker, so where would Correa play?

    Correa is 100% getting traded. Not sure how people are so gullible to believe that Boras' "fishing" comments about Correa mean anything at all. He makes 27% of the team's payroll. He's as good as gone.

    • @benjames4502
      @benjames4502 2 дня назад +2

      Who's trading for Correa, the dodgers are bringing back Betts at shortstop. the Yankees are prioritizing other needs as they have Volpe at shortstop, NyM would have far more interest in Buxton after signing Siri. The only teams left for trade are Boston and Atlanta, Boston already gave up its top prospects for Crochet and Atlanta ranks 16th in the MLB so they don't have the farm system to acquire Correa. The only team that has the ability to get Correa is the Phillies, as they have turner and Bohm they will not meet "the fail-vey's" demand, so who is trading for Correa? I remind the payroll starting in the '25-26 office season for the Twins with Correa is 102 million before arbitration eligible players.

      @@vivaroyaleyou never say never about a trade but who has the prospects and MLB ready players to trade for Correa? You have to meet "the fail-vey's" wants, Boras as where Correa will land including manfreds approval. I wish you and talkin twins weren't so obtuse on the facts, starting the '25 - '26 off season before arbitration eligible players the Twins will be right around 102 million payroll roughly with Correa on the team. Does 'the Fail-vey's" comments make sense, he's basically eluded to competing next year. Honestly, pay attention and do your homework!

  • @SuperTomdog1
    @SuperTomdog1 3 дня назад +1

    If they can dump his whole salary and get adequate assets then signing him was a positive. You sign a free agent then flip him for assets. Very smart. You can build a roster this way.

    • @benjames4502

      No star will ever want to play here ever again, remember Lewis is represented by Boras as well. The Twins trade Correa, Lewis is as good as gone if turns into a star.

      Twins are a mid market team and this is the way you have to run a team. Atleast all the teams in their division aren't big spenders. The Royals did spend some money last year though which was a nice change.
      When the Pirates spend money that is when you know hell has finally frozen over😂
