I bought a pair of Zulu-6 binoculars after trying them out at the Salt Lake show last year. I used them for 10 days on a desert elk hunt in 2022. They were amazing at locating elk and pronghorn at distances to 8 miles. I constantly found animals before my 3 hunting partners. I sold my 15X and leave the tripod at the truck now.
Just ordered the 20x version, why isn’t there any reviews of the gen2 yet? They are saying August 15 for shipping. Excited to get them after testing out 1st Gen Zulu6 16x42 which were great but I want the HDX and 2nd stabilization mode.
I’m interested in the 20x over the 16x but no reviews out there. Can you tell me how you like them…? Can you freehand them fine etc. maybe throw your own review?
Can't say when it was launched, but it's shows it's available at Optics Planet here: www.opticsplanet.com/sig-sauer-zulu6-hdx-ois-20x42mm-schmidt-pechan-prism-binocular.html
Optics Planet does not have the 20x42 HDX in stock. Oh, they will still sell them to you, take your money and then tell you they may ship in a couple of months. Optics planet also has gen 1 stats listed for gen 2 binos, so who knows what you'd get. They did that very thing to me today. I canceled my order and ordered them directly from Sig. They will be here in less than a week.
@@Rokslide Glad to hear your experience was better than mine. I posted my experience on Rokslide a couple months back, and by the responses, it seemed to be a common experience.
Crazy….but my guess is you are repeating things you’ve seen other people write who also have no experience with Sig. I’ve had them replace anything that was even slightly out of spec or broken…..no questions asked.

What magnification did you get?
@@ivaniuk123 16X
@@TalonID can you pretty much freehand them without shaking or having a difficult time glassing without tripod?
You "only" need to freehand. A tripod would just get in the way and slow you down. @@fishandhooktv3795
@@fishandhooktv3795yes you can aside from arm fatigue. Still nice to put them on a tripod at times for longer sits.
Did you get the opportunity to glass with the 16x & 20x? (Curious if they’re nearly identical)

Hi. When was the 20x42 model launched? I live in Germany and can't find it anywhere. Thanks

Another Sig product they won’t back you on if you ever have an issue. Garbage company.
I have had an opposite experience as you. I’ve had one problem with a rangefinder that was out of warrantee and they went above and beyond for me.

I am not, this is a personal experience. Thanks for your input though.@@8654ZuluFoxtrot
