      My guess is that it isn't exactly the same as the actual assets with gameplay-optimized LODs, it'd say it's potentially close to the in-game cutscene despite still on higher level of fidelity (look at Hellblade 2). Even the trailer itself was pretty clear with its own self-acknowledgement i.e. pre-rendered cinematic.

      @GuyWhoLikesTheSnarkies1435 11 дней назад +2

      @@banjomir519 The assets that are rendered during real-time gameplay sequence vs cutscenes are two different matters, just because they're all happening in-game doesn't mean they're in a constant optimized state no matter what. Moreover, Hellblade 2 already shows why a lot of cinematic trailers purported to have used in-game assets, for all intents and purposes, will always edge out the actual game just by a necessary leap when it comes to the level of polish and consistency of the LOD. That's why I'm not questioning if it's an in-game asset or not but rather the asset LODs.

    • @GuyWhoLikesTheSnarkies1435
      @GuyWhoLikesTheSnarkies1435 11 дней назад

      @@vith4553 So far, Nanite haven't been utilized by so many developers to fully replace the LOD system due to the known shortcomings of UE optimization. Also, I'm simply using the LOD for practical reasons because the way Nanite is utilized currently doesn't necessarily stray too far away from the traditional LOD system i.e. you're still required to phase the way assets are being rendered on-screen and especially, during the gameplay sequence depending on the complexity, the frequency of events where complex scenes (not referring to cutscenes btw) have to be rendered, and the transitions. You don't just brute force your GPU to render everything at staggeringly high poly counts at a **constant** level of consistency.

    I think while the graphics look amazing in the trailer, things might change a lot until the game releases. I don't see the game come out before 2027 at the earliest. CDPR changes their graphics a lot between trailers and final release. We saw it in W3 and CP2077 as well.

    • @cube2fox
      @cube2fox 12 дней назад +1

      @damage968 He is talking about Nanite for skinned meshes, i.e. for game characters. Partial/buggy support for that was only added in UE5.5, so it is quite possible that this won't be used in The Witcher part 4. Which would mean the characters aren't quite as detailed or precisely shadowed as in the trailer or as in Hellblade 2, which was a much more constrained game with fewer characters on screen.
