I saw this show 3 times before it closed and it’s one of the most fun times i had at a broadway show. The thing i love about beetle juice is that it’s fans made this show happen and using social media the company kept connected with fans, the cast doing silly challenges and answering questions, this show is such a victory. The fans are incredible. Thank you for recording this curtain call!
The fans are insane. Speaking with the cast, they realize they owe this resurrection to the fans! The cast truly does realize the love and support for the show.
My late husband and I saw this a few months before his passing in 2019. The show was so amazing and I can't wait till I save enough for tickets to be able to take my kids this time around. If you have the chance to see it please do. You won't be disappointed
@Michelle Marie Guinard we went this week. It was only the understudies so it was good but it wasn't amazing like with Alex Brightman and the regular cast but they were decent and no one seemed bothered by them. I'll definitely be going back when taxes comes in though lol
The raw emotion all over ELIZABETH TEETERS face from the second she appears for her curtain calls just MAKES MY DAY! She's been on BROADWAY for 10 years now leading up to her first opportunity to be a leading lady being snatched away when the show was originally canceled. Then it's resurrection gives her back her chance and her first night leading had an audience like this. so amazing for her she was gonna cry the entire time
elizabeth was not part of the original company when the show first closed back in march of 2020. it was actually presley ryan who was playing the role of lydia deetz at that time. unfortunately, presley could not be part of this resurrection company, but alex timbers (the director) made it a point to mention her during his closing night speech. EDIT: okay wait sike she _was_ part of that original company back in 2020? apparently she was part of it for like, 72 hours? huh? what? this is quite literally all new information to me.
@@therealpisceskid Yeah, she was casted as new full time Lydia until the original closing date in june 2020. The rehearsals with her just started when Broadway was shut down.
I went to see the show January 2020, and loved it so much. I was so mad it was being taken off broadway, not knowing then that ALL shows would be closed. I’m seeing if I should go see it again! It was great!
I was in New York the week this show had it's first preview, and I... went to something else. I've regretted that ever since, especially when it looked like my chance to see it had closed permanently. So glad it's back.
i am going to see the show on the 20th and i'm now sooo exited to see it know the amazing people who are there (edit) holy cr@p i've never gotten that many likes in a day
Yes! Leslie talked about it, I think she said something along the line of that 1) her stamina isn’t the same anymore after 2 years of not doing anything 2) she contracted COVID a while ago, which also messed with her stamina and 3) she doesn’t want to push herself to the point of it hurting her health

I wish I could go see it live, I love Beetlejuice so much. I have the playbill because my aunts went to see it but I'm jealous of them haha
