Very cool. What type of tape did you use first to secure the graft? Was that just a thin strip of shrink wrap you used second? So if I had a Meyers lemon tree trunk that split into a Y I could do a graft from a key lime tree of similar size and half the tree would be key lime and half the tree Meyers lemons? Thank you

Thanks for watching, the first tape is budding tape, the second one is the thin srink wrap for securing the scion wood, give it a go if you want to try grafting, it's fun , especially when you see the grafting takes. Now I have unlimited supply of lime and meyer lemon in one single tree 🌳 stay wonderful .....oh wait...don't forget to checkout my other cool video...cheers😊

What did you wrap the scion wood with?

Thanks for your comment, I got the meyer lemon scion wood from my friend around late September, igrafted then. I used the budding tape to wrap around the scion wood to keep it moist and protect from harsh weather conditions 🎉🎉

@@GraftingTactick Interesting. So you grafted immediately, instead of storing the scion and waiting till Spring to graft.

Yes, I didn't store the scion wood, grafting straight after cutting, and it works
