Being a housewife is a choice. A very respectable one. It's a lot of hard work being a housewife, so women shouldn't get hate for it. But they should also be able to make their own decisions about a life outside of the home without being judged for it.

@@batty_babe Well I'm glad you put your mental health first. It pains me to see women working their butts off only to be rewarded with stress and anxiety. Story time: A few years back, I went to a private school just outside my small town and they were very Christian. Specifically Protestants. I am Catholic and so is my family so we didn’t always follow their certain and strict rules at the school and we were seen as the “Odd family”. There was one day a canned food drive at my school and the boys were carrying cans while the girls were sitting in their chairs and talking. I got bored so I picked up a barrel of some cans and my male teacher guides my hand away from the cans saying, “Let the boys handle these.” And this school also taught boys to be gentlemen so if you were a girl you couldn’t hold the door open, and if you did you wouldn’t get a single thank you from anyone!! So, once he said that I was like “No, it’s okay. I can handle it.” And tried to pick it back up but he would not allow me to. When I asked why, he literally said to my face that girls were weak and not as strong as boys. The girls in my class didn’t seem affected but I was. And I was pissed!! I began having an argument saying that girls are as strong as boys and can do whatever men can. Later after school when I got home, my mom was going to her car and when I asked where she was going she said, “I’m going to your school. Your teacher was complaining to the headmaster saying you were causing trouble in class today.” I explained everything that happened to my mom and she was very mad at the teacher.
@@primodesmile634 no… when they say that, it’s something rude, pretty much saying that as in *be a woman and be my servant, and do what I say* so saying go build a house in return is saying *well if I’m supposed to be your servant, you go make a house and do your job.* this all is pretty much talking to each other like it’s the old days, when woman did serve men, and men had jobs. But now, woman don’t have to. So when men say that to woman. So the woman replies with something the man doesn’t have to do, so it’s equal. This all of course wouldn’t be a problem if either didn’t say anything to each other like that.

I remember this conversation with my friend from middle school (it was like over 5 years ago, so i don't remember it all but) where she was telling me that she wouldn't mind being a housewife, and i remember saying something along the lines of "that's ok, if you feel that's right for you, than that's good" because it's her choice 🤷♂️ remember that it's your choice to pursue what you want to, don't put others down for wanting one thing! I'm glad that women have more voices in power now, to make sure that everyone has a voice
Honestly wish more people were like you. Being a housewife or businesswoman are choices. I'd personally like just be relaxing, cooking, reading, and teaching a new generation. It's a nice lifestyle. And same with doing business for experiencing moneymaking, projects, challenges, goals, creativity. Both very cool choices.
I used to think like that, but go breaking mom on reddit, they suffer burn out cause their husband don't help with anything, if don't have money or a career you can't leave, first wave feminists were fighting for a reason, not because they think working is fun, but because women were losing their lives being dependents on their husbands, they can start to abuse you, cheat on you, just be usless, suffer a accident and be disable and not manage to work or can die? What the hell they were suppost to do away from the work force for years? Being a stay at home mom is not a safe option and can fuck up your entire life.

Don’t put me in a box that says that I think that men don’t have struggles or that women need to be 100% treated on hand and foot. @@Acelyn_11 I disagree with helping a bit, atleast on the cleaning and cooking.(except for the first few years after childbirth) People don't realise how much you have to sacrifice to make enough money to support two people. So, they don't understand the idea that we had to put the effort in first and we are sharing that result with another. It really depends on what each person brings and the work each has to go through. I am not saying the wife should be burdened with work. But, if the work is little, don't expect 50/50.

Being a housewife is a choice. A very respectable one. It's a lot of hard work being a housewife, so women shouldn't get hate for it. But they should also be able to make their own decisions about a life outside of the home without being judged for it.
as a housewife i seriously appreciate this comment so much ( i have severe anxiety as well as other mental health issues that i am just beginning to work on so being a part of the workforce was honestly was hell in a hand basket for me , my husband saw how it affected me especially seeing me having a panic attack after trying to get back to the workforce after a year. he told me that i didn’t have to work IF I DIDNT WANT TO, keywords “I” big plus, is he is very money savvy to keep us not only comfortable financially, we still treat ourselves to vacations, fancy dinners, shopping sprees, etc etc. he’s truly a dream come true who also sees our marriage as equal and i always am able to access and share my opinion with how we deal with our finances.) :)

Story time:
A few years back, I went to a private school just outside my small town and they were very Christian.

This isn’t about how ‘being a housewife is bad’. This is addressing the issue of how most men back then and in power today only see women for an eligible housewife. She’s saying that now we have a women in power that can share her voice with/for us.
I’m not saying being a housewife is bad btw, that’s why I put quotation marks
Again, I said NOTHING about if men have it harder, if women get more lei way in society, if being a stay at home mom or dad is bad, NONE of that. Yes men have a lot of struggles too, people in general can’t just live life without being judged. Don’t put me in a box that says that I think that men don’t have struggles or that women need to be 100% treated on hand and foot. This is about one single issue, I know it’s not as much of a common thing people know about, and I said men in power because money and all that can blind you sometimes.
Depends on who you date. Most rich dudes want housewives. (some one who takes care of the kids full time.)
I mean I’ll take care of the kids and all as long as the guy works and he still helps a bit. There’s nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mom, as long as the boy is still doing his part around the house
@@Acelyn_11 I disagree with helping a bit, atleast on the cleaning and cooking.(except for the first few years after childbirth) People don't realise how much you have to sacrifice to make enough money to support two people. You have to put consistent effort for atleast a decade and during that time the person has to limit his spending and time spend for leisure. Most men and women don't do this. So, they don't understand the idea that we had to put the effort in first and we are sharing that result with another.
It really depends on what each person brings and the work each has to go through. I am not saying the wife should be burdened with work. But, if the work is little, don't expect 50/50.
But it’s not true? Women served MILLIONS in the workforce during WWII. Stop looking at leave it to beaver and those stupid ass advertisements. Number one to be a housewife you had to be at least middle class. What about poor women?
@@makaelaischillin ??? Can you please word it differently? I’m sorry I legitimately can’t understand what you’re trying to say.
