I think Second Dinner agrees with you but wants to test it first. If the card performs within its limits, they'll keep it at 5 power. If it's too strong, they'll nerf it to 4 power. That one power can make a difference.
Cozy you are ALMOST correct about DST. It was to save energy during times of war BUT yes the byproduct It did allow farmers more daylight in the morning to tend to the crops during certain morning hours.

I'm already playing a deck with Zabu, Skarr, and a bunch of 4s, and it works really nicely and is a lot of fun. Skarr is at least 2-cost but often free in that deck. Surtur slots in perfectly for a second option if you don't draw a reduced-cost 10 power on 3.

I think malekith will be really strong in a 'big cards' style of deck, where you just play high stat cards on curve. If you pull a titania, maw, silk etc. malekith can be a 4/11 and bigger. And its surprising power too.

Turn 5 I played Blue Marvel before playing Mockingbird on turn 6, and Surtur did get the buff. That means it probably also works with Forge, Agony, Shuri, Nico's ability, etc. And ongoing buffs, and ongoing cards that are at 10+ power (Darkhawk, Devil Dino, etc.). With that said, Surtur is gonna fit in more decks than we thought.
I think Malekith could be interesting in Ronan, being able to add cards to your opponent's hand at the end with Maximus Black Widow that they can't play out, and ofc master mold. Maybe darkhawk too (not so much with rockslide out of the 1-3 cost range)? In both decks, you'd be adding surprise power to your big ongoing 5-cost at the very end
Fenris has potential for one of the nastiest combo plays in the game made easy. Play Fenris on the board. T6 Lady Sif-Destroyer + Viper the Fenris, then activate Fenris as the last action before ending turn. Activates will trigger on the opponent's side still. Viper'd Hellcow will delete cards from the opponent, so Destroyer will appear on the opponent side and just delete all their cards.
Actually, I think King Eitri will be pretty good into Darkhawk. Even just pulling a Rock, that's at minimum 2 less power for the Hawk, and maybe 1 less for the Cassandra. That's a 1/5 that may have just saved you from bricking a draw down the line. And of course, if you do pull a hammer, you're laughing all the way to the bank.
Farmers hate daylight savings time is what I was told because they feed the animals on set schedules and I guess they have to adjust their eating schedule with slight variances prior to the date and will start 1 month or something before. Really there is no reason for it at this point and government keeps trying to vote it to stop but never goes through.
Any card with a scaling ability shouldnt have premium stats on base. 3/5 is insane for a scaler. This will be stupid if you don’t tech and even then may be still out of control until Fenris

I think Maliketh has two potential homes. The one im most interetrd in is a wiccan style deck. You play quicksilver and Domino as your only 1 and 2 cost cards. Then load up on some solid 3s like hitmonkey and Killmonger. That way on 4 you can play maliketh to hopefully hit one of those cards as a big surprise at the end. The other is surfer of course. I still play a good bit of toxic surfer. And theres quite a few games where im set up for a win but i need surfer, hazmat or luke cage. And Maliketh can search one of those out for a potential big swing on the final turn. If we actually see the card he gets i think he goes in surfer all day.
Valkyrie is a cube stealer against the 10s Skaar deck. Win one lane and Valkyrie another on turn 6 with a Demon. Also shout-out to Elektra who's running a 56% win rate when played. Most of these decks play a single 1-cost to activate Cull Obsidian. Elektra can throw the curve off. It's also cheeky against the Agent Venom bounce decks.
Ima LOVE playing Fenris Wolf in mill. Yondu, Gladiator, Black Bolt and MoonKnight will be INSANE. And you play Chi in those decks too. Moonknight many times takes 6-cost cards too. And it straight up wins VS Hela discard and destroy decks. Imagine if they are running Zola too. Im so hyped!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

Daylight saving has nothing to do with farmers. It was initially started by Kaiser Wilheim in World War I to save on fuel cost the Brits copied it shortly thereafter and then a few years after them we adopted it. It serves no purpose today . In fact Congress actually passed a bill to get rid of it several years ago, but I’m pretty sure it’s been stalled in the Senate.
Would Shuri or Forge help Surtur since it gives the power before it flips? You're not playing it already at 10 but a card could be 10 eith those cards BEFORE it flips so I have no idea how that works🤔
for gorr one of the best possible plays is turn one a one cost, turn two a two cost, turn three magik, turn four wong, turn five jubilee and a one cost, turn six gorr and turn seven is the rest of your cards which is a total of 10 on reveals and two ongoings in the deck giving gorr 19 power
Cozy, do you think this gives them a reason to buff Jessica Jones and Rescue? Because I think that would bring these two cards back into the mix and it allows for some fun play lines. Surtur is definitely a must get, you can either be off meta and counter everyone or at least try to make infinite with meta and then do whatever you want. That being said, these are my cards that i think could work with surtur... thanos, caiera, cull obsidian, sera, surfer, Sasquatch, agatha, skaar.
So he's written as "When you play a card" so he won't gain power when something becomes a 10 (unless you bounce it, like if you bounced Silver Sable enough that she hits 10 and then put her back.)
im glad i saved up 12 keys over the last month and i dont have a complete collection by far, but none of those missing are in the spotlights. ill end up spending 3 keys on average for just the new card which feels horrible from a value perspecive. fourth spotlight card should be changed from completely random to a random series 4/5 card the person does not own yet. that would be a nice catch up mechanic and get people more excited to spend keys.
Once your pool 3 complete, they come quick. They are not making card acquisition easier in any reality where capitalism exists. 3 is lucky, my last 5 spotlight runs have taken 4 to get the card I want, and the last time the new card was in with one I needed, was back when Bill was with Ajax. I don’t fw toxic so I skipped. I can’t imagine the thrill of getting 2 cards I don’t have in one day. Consider it a thrill, because very soon, you’ll be in my shoes!

QuinJet to reduce them even more. Moongirl if you're a psychopath. She's the card I want the most simply for what she could possibly enable. Fenris is also going to be insane though. So many good cards this month honestly.
I already been using a skarr deck and i will say i like zabu in it, you have psylocke as well. Then on turn 3 if discounted you put down war machine, or cosmo if you dont. Its very versatile and straightforward. So lets see how surtur is placed
I am already running a zabu big dumb idiots deck, as zabu is also a one drop for cull. yes, it does also run cosmo and armour. Considered including warpath that you left off the list, which is now 10 power if you stick to two lanes.
I wish they made frigga like a baron zemo, where she coppies your last card to a location. TBH I am probably just salty that I expected her to be better
They nerfed Thena & Red Hulk’s base power, but they didn’t nerf the +3 for triggering their abilities. So hopefully the same will hold true for Surtur.
People are only talking about Surtr will with easy enable Skarr be a 0 cost at turn 6 but nobody is talking about how Surtr himself will be a 3/16 if you also play a 10 power card alongside Skarr at turn 6, and that is bonkers overpowered

Frigga with king eitir might finally make a decent beta ray bill deck. She also slots into c3 to give you multiple cerebro or red guardian or whatever. Also you can copy your free card from anti venom if you use him
I know it's unlikely to ever go this perfectly but you if you play Zabu on turn 1 with any 2 of the 4/10's in deck, something like Armor on 2, then you could go Surtur on turn 3, say like Typhoid Mary on turn 4, Aero or Red Skull on turn 5 and then Skaar as well as 2 of the Zabu discounted 4/10's like Crossbones and Cull Obsidian on turn 6 and stay completely on curve.
The thing about gorr is, will his points go up while in hand or deck while my cards are on the board similar to seb shaw. Also if I use a shuri then put him down will it double my new points are my base points
Man I don't think i've ever been as divided in opinion as I am this month lol. Fenris Wolf seems absolutely busted. Easily the best card of the month. Shang Chi is already one of the most played cards in the game and this just makes him so much better. Not to mention it's a natural counter to a lot of decks like Hela and Destroy. Malekith also seems really good, solid stats, free card being played, plus deck thinning. Idk why Alex is so down on him, but on the flip side he was the only person who was down on Madame webb and he ended up being right so maybe he is prophetic 😂 Also I think Sutur and Gorr will be solid but i'm not anywhere near as high on them.
Surtur needing to be played on 3 isn’t much of a problem for Skaar decks because their turn 3 was usually a 4/10 after Psylocke or Zabu. This just means you’re not required to draw those two on turns 1 and 2.
Changing the clock it's all due to save money and energy. Shifting the time allow to use more "sunlight" . Then of course it depends on the region itself. I live in Italy and here we change it as well, but to be honest it's been proven then nowadays for Italy there are more cons then pro doing so
King Eitri does technically also work with Loki and Arishem (but loki is almost exclusively ran in Arishem, so pretty much just him), but I don't know if you really wanna run Eitri in those decks. It's probably worth it?
Malekith could be amazing with a quicksilver-domino-speed-jubilee-iron lad deck. That has no other 1 or 2 cost cards and has a few high power 3 cost cards and some good extra's to pull with jubilee or iron lad. Then it doesn't matter if you see the card or not. You'll know it'll be like at least 5 power
Yeah, I don't see why they would make it not able to. Every other card and location that hides your cards allows you to see it like Supergiant and Dark Dimension.

There will 100% be a variation of Surtur in a Surfer deck.
It is still entirely possible that it is slotted into Surfer, most lists run Gwenpool and Forge. Shaw easily gets to 10.

Copycat is worth it just for information value, especially in Surfer; sometimes drawing her early and not even playing her gives you 4-8 cubes.
Would Shuri or Forge help Surtur since it gives the power before it flips? You're not playing it already at 10 but a card could be 10 eith those cards BEFORE it flips so I have no idea how that works🤔
for gorr one of the best possible plays is turn one a one cost, turn two a two cost, turn three magik, turn four wong, turn five jubilee and a one cost, turn six gorr and turn seven is the rest of your cards which is a total of 10 on reveals and two ongoings in the deck giving gorr 19 power

Cozy, do you think this gives them a reason to buff Jessica Jones and Rescue? Because I think that would bring these two cards back into the mix and it allows for some fun play lines. Maybe make Jessica an activate card while keeping recues on reveal. Hopefully you see this and maybe talk about it on the Pod.

If you have Warmachine, you can go the Infinaut route with it as well. 0-cost Skaar and Infinaut goes hard.

I've never had any trouble getting Crossbones out. He's just as good as Cull Obsidian most of the time.

Surtur is definitely a must get, you can either be off meta and counter everyone or at least try to make infinite with meta and then do whatever you want.
That being said, these are my cards that i think could work with surtur... thanos, caiera, cull obsidian, sera, surfer, Sasquatch, agatha, skaar.

So he's written as "When you play a card" so he won't gain power when something becomes a 10 (unless you bounce it, like if you bounced Silver Sable enough that she hits 10 and then put her back.)
Thing I really like about Maliketh is the deck thinning aspect more than anything
im glad i saved up 12 keys over the last month and i dont have a complete collection by far, but none of those missing are in the spotlights. ill end up spending 3 keys on average for just the new card which feels horrible from a value perspecive. fourth spotlight card should be changed from completely random to a random series 4/5 card the person does not own yet. that would be a nice catch up mechanic and get people more excited to spend keys.
Once your pool 3 complete, they come quick. They are not making card acquisition easier in any reality where capitalism exists. 3 is lucky, my last 5 spotlight runs have taken 4 to get the card I want, and the last time the new card was in with one I needed, was back when Bill was with Ajax. I don’t fw toxic so I skipped. I can’t imagine the thrill of getting 2 cards I don’t have in one day. Consider it a thrill, because very soon, you’ll be in my shoes!

Exactly. If they removed the ability to get cards you already have, it would feel so much better. But they want to have a way to ”waste” people's keys while trying to get new cards.

I already been using a skarr deck and i will say i like zabu in it, you have psylocke as well. Then on turn 3 if discounted you put down war machine, or cosmo if you dont. Its very versatile and straightforward. So lets see how surtur is placed

I am already running a zabu big dumb idiots deck, as zabu is also a one drop for cull. yes, it does also run cosmo and armour. Considered including warpath that you left off the list, which is now 10 power if you stick to two lanes.
I wish they made frigga like a baron zemo, where she coppies your last card to a location. TBH I am probably just salty that I expected her to be better
Fenris wolf is my most anticipated card of the month. I love the effect its my 5/5 of the month
They nerfed Thena & Red Hulk’s base power, but they didn’t nerf the +3 for triggering their abilities. So hopefully the same will hold true for Surtur.
Sports tier list. Would be cool to see you ranking different sports you've never heard of as well as the classics
People are only talking about Surtr will with easy enable Skarr be a 0 cost at turn 6 but nobody is talking about how Surtr himself will be a 3/16 if you also play a 10 power card alongside Skarr at turn 6, and that is bonkers overpowered

Frigga with king eitir might finally make a decent beta ray bill deck. She also slots into c3 to give you multiple cerebro or red guardian or whatever. Also you can copy your free card from anti venom if you use him

I know it's unlikely to ever go this perfectly but you if you play Zabu on turn 1 with any 2 of the 4/10's in deck, something like Armor on 2, then you could go Surtur on turn 3, say like Typhoid Mary on turn 4, Aero or Red Skull on turn 5 and then Skaar as well as 2 of the Zabu discounted 4/10's like Crossbones and Cull Obsidian on turn 6 and stay completely on curve.
The thing about gorr is, will his points go up while in hand or deck while my cards are on the board similar to seb shaw.
Also if I use a shuri then put him down will it double my new points are my base points

Surtur can revive not obvious cull, skaar, even crossbones, but also it can make rise forgotten tech card armor, also good Doge is a thing
Man I don't think i've ever been as divided in opinion as I am this month lol. Fenris Wolf seems absolutely busted. Easily the best card of the month. Shang Chi is already one of the most played cards in the game and this just makes him so much better. Not to mention it's a natural counter to a lot of decks like Hela and Destroy.
Malekith also seems really good, solid stats, free card being played, plus deck thinning. Idk why Alex is so down on him, but on the flip side he was the only person who was down on Madame webb and he ended up being right so maybe he is prophetic 😂
Also I think Sutur and Gorr will be solid but i'm not anywhere near as high on them.
Surtur needing to be played on 3 isn’t much of a problem for Skaar decks because their turn 3 was usually a 4/10 after Psylocke or Zabu. This just means you’re not required to draw those two on turns 1 and 2.

A combo I imagine Surtur could be played:
- Surtur on 3
- Psylocke on 4
- skip 5
- She-Hulk (costing zero) + Infinaut on 6
Changing the clock it's all due to save money and energy. Shifting the time allow to use more "sunlight" . Then of course it depends on the region itself. I live in Italy and here we change it as well, but to be honest it's been proven then nowadays for Italy there are more cons then pro doing so

King Eitri is amazing for Arishem and Loki decks, never underestimate a cantrip
King Eitri does technically also work with Loki and Arishem (but loki is almost exclusively ran in Arishem, so pretty much just him), but I don't know if you really wanna run Eitri in those decks. It's probably worth it?
I think it's crazy They Put Agony in the Shop as series 4 $50 bundle but not in the Token Shop

Malekith could be amazing with a quicksilver-domino-speed-jubilee-iron lad deck. That has no other 1 or 2 cost cards and has a few high power 3 cost cards and some good extra's to pull with jubilee or iron lad. Then it doesn't matter if you see the card or not. You'll know it'll be like at least 5 power
Malekith would allow you to see the card just like you can with invisible women, dark dimensions, and super giant.
Yeah, I don't see why they would make it not able to. Every other card and location that hides your cards allows you to see it like Supergiant and Dark Dimension.
I’m curious on seeing if Sutur would be good in a destroy deck. I wanna see if he will boost up every time, I play a 10+ Deadpool and see if the level will go up when I play Venom
