Dan, I have seen hundreds of your videos and they are great. A guy like you can attract people into transport industry. Your good nature is a wonderful blessing!!!
Bet you loaded at malarkey in okc, nice people & quick, shingles are heavy but pay good right now, haul em all the time, have a load on now going to South Dakota
Nice That Shipper/Customer Had Diver Appreciation Day! Thank you for the education as to load placement for optimum weight on axles/truck. Dan Be Safe; Hi Bailey ^. . ^
Hello trucker Dan and Bailey hope you all still doing good and appreciate our truckers each and every day for the job that you do for our great country thank you for your service and God bless
I was at a General Mills a while back (can't remember where) but they gave me some Fruit Gushers, some cookies and bittled water. I thought that was so nice. Never been anywhere that did that.
Well aware you are a truck driver first, you tube videos are secondary GOT It. But in the other comment, your comment input drives traffic. You made the effort to post, a few words to viewers, is encouragement to keep following. Like walking into a restaurant, and the staff knows your name. Or pulling into a truck stop, & folks say, Hey, you're that Super Dan Guy 🏋🚛🆒❗. FYI.
Hello Dan thank you for the load distribution explanation 101 it is interesting how this works good to hear from you. You and Bailey have a blessed trip and safe drive on the road my friends. Keep the videos rolling.
Be careful out there Dan. I lost a old friend in Missouri wensday afternoon . Either he was driving or his driver was driving across train tracks they were hit by a Amtrak. He's drove the monster truck circuit for almost thirty years.
Hi Dan and Bailey, I very much enjoy your videos. You are a very estute operator. Your look after your rig and it shows. Nice unit and your always doing preventative maintenance. Good job!👍. You use the same method I used with your oil and oil changes. Keep up the great videos! Stay safe. By the way I'm from Canada. Take care.
True trucker. Dan, take off the florescent safety T & put on that pearl snap button down "date night" trucker shirt while you're still grabbing gears. Life's short, live a little. 💕
Ah yes, the irony of seeing trucking company trucks passing each other going in opposite directions. Glad to hear freight prices are holding up, and it looks like your decision to get a lighter trailer is paying off.
Hi Dan. This channel is really great! Best one I've seen to show folks what flat bedding is really like. I still pick up useful tips and tricks every video I watch! You and Bailey stay safe out there and maybe we'll run into you on the road one of these days.
Hi Dan; great show and Bailey is really neat. Sometime would you show the sleeper part of your truck? Looks big, you have a neat way of showing loads. loading, and road traveling. Say hello to Teresa and have a safe driving day. THANKS
Hi Dan funny how it works out sometimes like you say pick up shingles in Indiana and haul them too Oklahoma then pick up more shingles and take them back to somewhere close to where you loaded the first load at. possibly there is a shortage of the colors of shingles you hauled and they were only available at the places you loaded up at. Otherwise back in the day they probably would have done what they called a blind shipment or blind bills of lading where the load going to Oklahoma would have been picked up in Oklahoma and the driver would have made out and different set of bills saying the load came from the shipper in Indiana instead of Oklahoma and the receiver would have been billed for the mileage from Indiana. usually it would happen due too a over selling their stock or a breakdown at the shipper so they didn’t have the product too ship to the customer but they promised it to them and the receiver needed it yesterday. I came across another trucking site a week or so ago and one day he happened too be hauling Urea in a dump trailer. for those that don’t know Urea is a fertilizer which is high in nitrogen I believe it is 44-0-0 meaning it is 44% nitrogen. it is also the same stuff Timothy McVey used too blow up that building in Oklahoma. if it is mixed with diesel fuel it becomes a very powerful explosive but anyway he loaded it and delivered it to a port where they load and unload ships and when he arrived the woman at the scale told him they never received anything by the truckload before which was the first strange thing so she called someone and found out it was supposed too go there so they sent him too a building and had him back in and dump the load and then they had him rescale out empty and then had him back under a conveyer coming out of another building and they reloaded him with Urea going back to the same shipper he had brought the first load of urea from and he said the same thing you did as long as they pay him he will haul whatever they want wherever they want
How bout cha big Dan 😂...truck and trailer could use some polishing ...front grill surround ...wheels ...tool boxes on trailer and wheels .....get ya some polish for the weekend for those boring truck stops or mercer town
Dan and Bailey, I enjoy your beautiful video’s .Dan, your driving is excellent and what you get for loads excellent money 💰 makers. Keep the great work going, You have beautiful wife and daughter. Have good one ☝️.
I have a stop where they have snacks set out for the drivers why they wait. It's not so much that I am starving and dying of thirst but that hey, these folk here don't treat me like trash, i.e. find your own toilet, etc. Good video thanks for your time and effort to put it out there.
don't know if they've improved it, but in the east, it always needed larger parking areas for trucks. if you don't know the little areas to find parking space, you're screwed. i got "screwed" a lot and ended up hating the ne
Thanks Dan, Logistics are getting scared they will run out of trucks coming to their business to load. Flat load trailer operators are down in numbers right now. Have a good weekend.
Good deal man. I always tell forklift drivers to start the load at the stake pocket in front of the landing gear it it’s not going to take up all 48’ of the trailer.
I don't know how much your Dorsey sponsorship is worth, but you might wanna watch a NASCAR race this weekend. Racecar drivers give high praise to their sponsors. I get it. It's millions of dollars. But, you just seem a bit bothered by it all when you call out YOUR sponsor. I'm sure Dorsey would like a bit more enthusiasm in their name instead of an "oh, by the way," type mention. Just sayin...
@@markpeterson6836 No weight advantage would be gained until they are spread 97 inches which would increase the limit on 2 axles to 38,000. I don't know if the greater options of load placement would be worth the maneuverability loss of the longer spread. Even that depends on the State regulations. Many trucks are built with tandem drive axles rated to 46,000 pounds even though they can't legally carry more than 34,000 pounds.

Hopefully they will be open after 11 pm. You can use a restroom on the pike anywhere after 11 pm that I know of.
Every tractor I owned had a sliding 5th wheel, 36 + years slide it one time, thanks for the video, pull toy here
Thanks for explaining weight distribution, dan!

That service plaza is in Chandler, OK. It used to be tiny. They did a good job expanding it.

Thanks for the tour of the service plaza. Those are perhaps the nicest edge protectors I've ever seen on a flat bed. Great scenery as usual.
You’re so Lucky to have such a Fun little Companion while you’re running miles down the road. 👍

yes those shingles are fairly good paying loads , i haul out of Mich City occasionally and out of that same place you loaded in SE Indiana
Great videos Dan, nice to see a true trucker getting it done, stay Blessed out there.
That's a hell of a lot of concrete at that service center, good job to em not cheap..

Your videos are compulsive viewing.
You're a credit to the industry.
Keep on keeping on.
There is a very nice place to start when I’m coming back from Oklahoma City I know when you are close in the area
that new engine and mufflers sounds INCREDABLE with phones in!
Engine is the same block , internals replaced w/In-frame rebuild kit.
It's a great day to see your video 😊
I think Bailey would have preferred dog treats and water! 🐕

Safe travels, Dan. Have a great weekend.

In the UK, our truck stops/rest areas aren't even half that size, and those are the big ones.
Stay safe.

Use to work for a company that made concrete pipe they ran 8 axle trailers trucks were plated at 163 thousand pounds
One thing learned growing up in a trucking family is if u wear it or use it the truck brought it ur welcome people…..
interesting, you mean everything I buy isn't made in my town? huh.

Cool video Dan 👍👍
Just put a set on my 04, beat the rain by minutes 👍 no more squeak at first startup 🤫

Nice parking plaza in Oklahoma!
I’m finally early! Hey Dan and Bailey
Hey Dan.
Short and sweet lol.
Excellent explanation, always wanted to know how to distribute the weight on a truck without a sliding fifth wheel.Hi bailey!
Enjoyed the video
That was a quick video
Great Tips Cool Stuff 👍😎
We gave out hot dogs and cold drinks one year for drivers day.
Yea you have to move the load on a Flat Bed trailer because you can't move the trailer tandems like you can on a Box Trailer.
Hey Dan I sent you some stuff to mercer town hope u enjoy
As we used to say At the airport Same Shit another Day lol ☘️☘️☘️
Alrighty then😉
They have good bbq at that plazA
Do you keep a list to replace fan belts on a schedule or do you have a great memory?
What does a load like that pay?
When I was driving I got a bottle of water and a pair of work gloves
Do you ever axle load versus center load?
👍😉
Hey Dan what is your King pin setting on your trailer?

I wonder if anyone has built a truck with a 10 foot spread on the drives so they could run 40,000 on the drives.
There are some out there. I don't believe they are 10' but they are spread more than normal.
