I'm a doctor and work under the public-private partnership in the periphery of the KP. Our salaries have been frozen for the past 4 months citing lack of funds. When I got into a medical college going abroad trend was not that much but as of now almost 60 percent of the students make plans in the medical schools to leave for UK/US/Ireland/ Canada. Almost 40 of my classmates are already abroad the rest is in the process of it. The point is, the doctor profession was considered to be the most privileged profession in Pakistan but that was in the past and now nobody cares. Everybody wants to leave. We are a rotten society no doubt. Nothing will change.

There is utter hopelessness and distrust among the youth and us students regarding our futures and financial stability in this country. It's a tragedy for a nation, when its citizens' concerns tend to be individual rather than national/collecetive. Sadly, we have come to this now. There is only so much you can do to save a burning house. It then, is about your own survival first and foremost. Pakistan, a shame, is ideologically, financially and politically a burning house. It gets harder and harder to save the house by the day. The concerns are getting individual, for that is the ultimate path if we continue to follow the track we're leading as a nation.

I am a govt. officer and my govt residence has been illegaly possessed by a driver of DC shb, and I was having a car which is stolen, and I am having no proper residence and no vehicle now with much more other issues to live a normal life in my posting district where i have no relatives, no family, living a single life. and now i also decided to leave the country. Being a single female really hard to live with passion for profession only.

Dear Syed, I am shell shocked and appalled, I am an Indian but I am no end aggrieved and equally appalled that this subcontinent of ours is subjected to such nadir like in-humanism. Early this month we had horrific train accident which numbed me completely because these human tragedies makes you completely helpless against insane ignorance of people making deity out of their political leaders. We too suffered this disease of “Shaks Parasti” in India for five decades and we are still suffering it when you have leaders like Rahul Gandhi of Congress and others conceited- corrupt leaders of opposition parties in India. No wonder in my opinion an above average leader like Narender Modi in Indian political scenario appears like a giant of a leader. Though I will not deny he has achieved tremendous success for the country against all the 50 years of corrupt and misrule of Congress party. People of Pakistan and India should come out of mesmerism of “Shaks Parasti”, the bottom line is the governance should be totally accountable to the T, yes from macro to micro level. People should feel that there’s some sense of modicum of governance is permeating in the country. As for my understanding of my own country, is, I voted last for Rajiv Gandhi in 1985 general elections, in him I thought things would change but he only affirmed my observation that Congress is an organized webb of scam to run the country. I have never voted for any party since 1985. I am journalist and my subject is Indian auto-industry of which birth I witnessed from April 1994 and I understand pretty well what an economy of a country is because this auto industry encompasses the whole economy and economic of the country right from rains for agriculture operations, purchasing power of common man to production and movement of industrial products. All these things tells me how we waisted initial five decades of our country’s birth. If we can still rise from such a morass why can’t Pakistan rise also, yes you can and you should. And all you have to do is stick to fundamentals, i.e., consolidate and resurrect your agricultural resources, you have all the rivers and water resources, you can still make Pakistan a food bowl in the region, just five years of concentrated development you will see the results. Whatever industries you have restructure it, withdraw from Madras’s education to productive education, in food, health and education lies your liberty, then other things come. This is what spiritual guru Swami Vivekanand espoused some 125 years back. I have genuine empathy for the people of Pakistan that’s why I am saying all this. I currently live in South Korea, My Boss was a Fisherman Captain and a human trafficker,I left this field due to extreme trauma and regret, In the late 90s we used to collect Chinese illegal immigrants on our way back to Gwangju, while the people were boarding from one ship to our ship many people used to fall in the sea because it had to be quick, we used to store these people in our fish hold below so they couldn't be seen, on the way back my boss used to pay the officials money to return back to Gwangju. One time with the people inside there was a Freon gas leak in our fish hold we didn't know we always used to chain the Bait hold tightly shut and the boss also told people to be quiet or he would throw the in the sea, naturally the people were quiet because of the rules but after a few hours when the sun set my boss told me to open the fish hold and tell the people to get out and eat, I saw everybody had died so when we were about to throw the bodies in the sea, my boss beat me up and told me to cut and sever the bodies limb from limb so the bodies could not float thats why i am still traumatized

I read comments on the BBC reporting of the event. There were many europeans who were commenting that what happened is good cause their tax money won't be used for these peoples welfare. Europe and West and the other countries who made themselves prosperous don't owe anybody anything. I say the same to the Indian educated masses who want to move to the greener grasses.
Problem is when these people move to western countries, they don't adopt the cultures of host country. They demand sharia and liberties to break public property during riots etc. People are now aware of the mess immigrants from asia and africa cause in host countries.

Around 65% of budget is going to Defense and debt servicing. The remaining 35% is not sufficient for the rest. Most of the balance of 35% will go to regular expenses like salaries etc. There is no money for welfare and development. Only solution is to reduce the defense budget to allocate more funds on education, health and others. Simultaneously implement land reforms and forget Kashmir. But it is not possible in the current setup.

I'm a doctor and work under the public-private partnership in the periphery of the KP. Our salaries have been frozen for the past 4 months citing lack of funds.
When I got into a medical college going abroad trend was not that much but as of now almost 60 percent of the students make plans in the medical schools to leave for UK/US/Ireland/ Canada. Almost 40 of my classmates are already abroad the rest is in the process of it.
The point is, the doctor profession was considered to be the most privileged profession in Pakistan but that was in the past and now nobody cares. Everybody wants to leave. We are a rotten society no doubt. Nothing will change.

I am shell shocked and appalled, I am an Indian but I am no end aggrieved and equally appalled that this subcontinent of ours is subjected to such nadir like in-humanism. Early this month we had horrific train accident which numbed me completely because these human tragedies makes you completely helpless against insane ignorance of people making deity out of their political leaders.
We too suffered this disease of “Shaks Parasti” in India for five decades and we are still suffering it when you have leaders like Rahul Gandhi of Congress and others conceited- corrupt leaders of opposition parties in India. No wonder in my opinion an above average leader like Narender Modi in Indian political scenario appears like a giant of a leader. Though I will not deny he has achieved tremendous success for the country against all the 50 years of corrupt and misrule of Congress party.
People of Pakistan and India should come out of mesmerism of “Shaks Parasti”, the bottom line is the governance should be totally accountable to the T, yes from macro to micro level. People should feel that there’s some sense of modicum of governance is permeating in the country.
As for my understanding of my own country, is, I voted last for Rajiv Gandhi in 1985 general elections, in him I thought things would change but he only affirmed my observation that Congress is an organized webb of scam to run the country. I have never voted for any party since 1985.
I am journalist and my subject is Indian auto-industry of which birth I witnessed from April 1994 and I understand pretty well what an economy of a country is because this auto industry encompasses the whole economy and economic of the country right from rains for agriculture operations, purchasing power of common man to production and movement of industrial products. All these things tells me how we waisted initial five decades of our country’s birth.
If we can still rise from such a morass why can’t Pakistan rise also, yes you can and you should. And all you have to do is stick to fundamentals, i.e., consolidate and resurrect your agricultural resources, you have all the rivers and water resources, you can still make Pakistan a food bowl in the region, just five years of concentrated development you will see the results. Whatever industries you have restructure it, withdraw from Madras’s education to productive education, in food, health and education lies your liberty, then other things come. This is what spiritual guru Swami Vivekanand espoused some 125 years back.
I have genuine empathy for the people of Pakistan that’s why I am saying all this.

I currently live in South Korea, My Boss was a Fisherman Captain and a human trafficker,I left this field due to extreme trauma and regret, In the late 90s we used to collect Chinese illegal immigrants on our way back to Gwangju, while the people were boarding from one ship to our ship many people used to fall in the sea because it had to be quick, we used to store these people in our fish hold below so they couldn't be seen, on the way back my boss used to pay the officials money to return back to Gwangju. One time with the people inside there was a Freon gas leak in our fish hold we didn't know we always used to chain the Bait hold tightly shut and the boss also told people to be quiet or he would throw the in the sea, naturally the people were quiet because of the rules but after a few hours when the sun set my boss told me to open the fish hold and tell the people to get out and eat, I saw everybody had died so when we were about to throw the bodies in the sea, my boss beat me up and told me to cut and sever the bodies limb from limb so the bodies could not float thats why i am still traumatized

I read comments on the BBC reporting of the event. There were many europeans who were commenting that what happened is good cause their tax money won't be used for these peoples welfare. Europe and West and the other countries who made themselves prosperous don't owe anybody anything. I say the same to the Indian educated masses who want to move to the greener grasses.

Around 65% of budget is going to Defense and debt servicing. The remaining 35% is not sufficient for the rest. Most of the balance of 35% will go to regular expenses like salaries etc. There is no money for welfare and development. Only solution is to reduce the defense budget to allocate more funds on education, health and others. Simultaneously implement land reforms and forget Kashmir. But it is not possible in the current setup.
