Great video brother! Always enjoy watching Ryan since he's from my home state, and I went to the tournament in honor of his late wife once. Good guy and bowler who deserves more credit ...
The Right Lane, That was an awesome upload of the Worst Moments of Ryan Shafer. Also, The Worst Moments that stood out were the Title Matches of the 2000 Brunswick World Tournament of Champions against Jason Couch, The 2006 Columbia 300 Classic against Norm Duke, and the 2002 Tournament of Champions against Jason Couch. Also, there were other worst moments of Ryan Shafer that should have been featured like the Title Matches of the Pepsi Championship from 2007, The Atlanta Classic from 2005, and the World Championship from 2008 against Norm Duke. Also, The Title Match of the 63rd U.S. Open against Tommy Jones. Also, I am looking forward to the next best or worst moments video from the Pro Bowlers on the Pba and Pwba Tours that you upload on RUclips.
I never understood why Shafer went to that weird spinny roll later in his career. If you watch his shows from the 90s he had an amazing ball roll. You’d think that type of roll would crush today’s conditions.
An honorable mention that wasn't televised was when Ryan was cheated in the finals match of the PBA50 Lehigh Lanes Open. In the 10th frame against Walter Ray Williams Jr., Ryan had a fair chance of winning the match and needed to keep pressure on Walter. However, he hit a light shot and the messenger was going at great pace towards the 10 pin... when the *STRING* stopped it from hitting the 10 because the Lehigh Lanes Open was the 1st PBA Event held on String Pins... and hopefully the last. Also, I really miss the ESPN era of the PBA. The vibes are just so right to me.
@@enigmazero8624 Can confirm. WSU's Student Union bowling alley went to them and they're not all that different from freefall. Just a little harder to roll two pins and carry light hits efficiently.
@@NateCraven318 I might make a video with the footage of my practice session on them. It seems like all the videos you see are so negative and everyone is skewed into hating them without trying them first.
@@enigmazero8624 That's because most people who make videos ragging on string pins are using machines that are CLEARLY not up to spec per the USBC's ruling and regulations. 220 Average Bowler is the perfect example of somebody doing just that (His takes became so incessant that James Kniffen, Jr. of Shim Wrecker Enterpriseses called him out for that). I guarantee you string machines will raise some eyebrows, but if that is what keeps this sport alive or even turns it around in the next 10 or 20 years, I'm all for it.

Just curious. What happened to his wife? I agree I felt bad for Ryan not winning more. Watched Ryan on tv all the time
She committed suicide.
@@enigmazero8624 very sad. Hope he has found peace
I think he’s one of the greatest honestly and just had bad luck on tv

His form was almost identical his whole career all the way since the early 90s. Such a simple stroke
One of my favorite bowlers.

Well he made TV 55 or 56 times, so he had the ability. Just for whatever reason, it only translated to 5 wins.
He bowled a perfect game, though
Is he in the hall of fame

Go bowl on string pins; they’re not as bad as you think.

@@NateCraven318 did James make a video response or just put a comment somewhere? I cannot find this interaction and I have not seen it.
