- Lucca is one of the nicest and most beautiful towns in Tuscany. It's long history goes back to Etruscan and Ancient Roman times, and still you can find pieces of ancient architecture. Because the fact that historic centre is surrounded by city walls, Lucca has managed to preserve its heritage in a quite good shape.
All over this medieval city you’ll find monuments representing all the various historical era Lucca has lived through. Walking around Lucca is like traveling back in time. You really have to experience it.

I would move to Lucca in a heartbeat!! Wonderful people, who are happy to be helpful and friendly to "outsiders". Music and culture and a sense of history pervades the place. And it is close to the Tuscany hills which are awesome. Beautiful gardens and arches . Young and old ride bicycles and pets are welcome

I have many cousins in Lucca, Lunata, Capannori, all along Via Pesciatina and Via Vecchia Pesciatina. One of my Salvoni cousins owns the building where Paniko is located (you should eat there!) Someday my dream is to go there and meet my cugini. They are Salvoni, Lenci, Gini, Martini, Giomi, Petrini, and more!

Travo Foodie: Thank you for your comment, I am glad that you watch my videos and like them. 😊 How much time I need for the filming depends a lot on the city. In Lucca I had around 6 hours. Unfortunately I didn't have more time, because we had leave then. The post-production needs much more time: First of all I need to find a music title that fits to my vision, and then I work a lot on the scenes and editing. I think I worked on the Lucca video for about 3 weeks. Best regards; I wish you a nice weekend. ☀️🍀

Dix mois après un très bon weekend à Lucca (ville magnifique, bon ambiance...), je recois deux contraventions pour circulation dans une zone restreinte... Aucun panneau particulier expliquant pourquoi, le GPS m'indique un parking ou me garer à proximité du centre ville... J'ai donc 100 euros d'amende pour avoir passer cette zone restreinte et de nouveau 100 euros d'amende pour vouloir sortir de la ville le lendemain (tout en mettant garé dans un parking officiel et en ayant payé...) ...
J'appelle ça un attrape touriste....
Ten months after a great weekend in Lucca (beautiful town, great atmosphere...), I received two tickets for driving in a restricted zone... No particular sign explaining why, the GPS tells me where to park near the town center... So I'm fined 100 euros for passing through this restricted zone, and another 100 euros for wanting to leave the city the next day (while parking in an official parking lot and having paid...) ...
I call it a tourist trap....
