I just received (2) 3 gallon m-4s based on Alex's recommendation. My 12 year old coconut creme has been consistently producing mango since switching to homemade fish emulsion. I also put a tarp under the tree to deprive it of rain starting in late September. This approach seems to be working for me and I have set about 60 mangoes this year.
Hi Pinellas...is m4 supposed to be vigorous...I'm in AZ and I'm looking for vigorous varieties to grow....I'm visiting wpb and ft Lauderdale area .. would love to see your yard Michael
Paul, this tree is fantastic to aggressively prune with tipping. I got a container tree that hasn't flowered yet, but it's now about four feet tall with close to twenty branches already. I would highly recommend the tree if you want to create a mango "bush".
I would love a video on 40-26 , i hear good things about it, that i ordered one. Maybe if you have time you could ask alex to talk about it on video. Thanks
3-18 is superb but has been a reluctant producer in the limited time we’ve been growing it. there are a few fruit left on it so maybe A sampling video could be done.
Hey brother whats your opinion of ice cream? Whats the sweetest most fruity variety with a little tartness? I love lemon meringue and carrie and okrung
most nurseries continue to sell the regular "boring" Mangoes instead of these newer varieties and big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot which used to carry a number of varieties, rarely carry Mangoes now. Makes no sense
Home Depot and Lowes do not pay well for their plants. Plant materials are purchased through brokers. Mango trees 🌳 are in such high demand, growers aren't selling to those brokers.
Or Zill M4. Maybe it's already late to rename. For me, it would be confusing. I don't need a sexy name to know what is it. I have a Seacrest here, and we stopped calling it Triplesec.
I tried one this year and it was very mediocre. Probably the worst I had all year. Im hoping it wasn’t fully ripe bc I bought the tree before I ever tried the fruit lol.
@@FruitfulTrees hey next time you are in orlando, you could check out my place. It’s a work in progress but I probably have 20 fruit trees in the ground. Definitely not perfect by any means so maybe could use some tips which could be a learning tool for others as well.

agreed but i think in the future that may change. I think they will start selling the ones with the best names to try to get people to buy them.

M4 mango should be called Emerald or Kryptonite since it remains green on the tree. How about coconut dream?
Dr campbell already grows ones named emerald and kryptonite
