What do you think of his motions? Impressed or just another long drive swing?

12:30 I gotta put an addendum here, the balls that are currently used in competition for long drive are extremely slow compared to the balls used to set world records, the current world record is held by Sam Attanasio at 245 mph and Sean Johnson is also over 230 mph ball speed. The current top dog for ball speed in competition throughout the season is Colton Casto and he's in the mid 220s ball speed on the grid.

Do you know the compressions of those balls? I remember back some 20+ years ago a lot of those long drivers were using the “laddie” golf balls as they were actually 60-70 compression and they found they could hit them further strangely enough.

@@liongolfacademythe world record ball is generally 110+ compression either volvik AMT or pro V1 left dash, the competition balls I believe are around 80 compression but I'm not 100% sure on that

A lot of his forward press just comes from having a very strong grip (like a lot of other long drivers) because it helps to protect the wrists. The strongest grip and best example of that is Sam Attanasio, the ball speed world record holder

Yeah the stronger you can grip it the less your hand need to be involved. A lot of long drive bombers have strong grips as they get much more til and turn at impact than almost everyone. Thanks Op!
