News for everyone 🫡🗞️ The Skins full version has been delayed 1-2 months or so (personally think more though so maybe May/June). It'll be released in the Hybrid album/EP with Limbo's audio and some more new songs. He said this on his ig live 2 days ago (03.03.24). Apparently one of the reasons is cause these songs deserve a full packaging and he's so right about that honestly. We'll likely get new music videos (and while Skins somewhat already has one he said that they could do better ?? I'm not sure) + a new character introduced that also relates to his personal life with DID/&bipolar, essentially the hybrid but with a name and like an official debut I guess
edit 22/5/2024: sorry y'all but it looks like he changed his mind again - on today's live he mentioned he's gonna put it out just the way it is, not extending it anymore. it seems to have been a bit updated though!! but yeah never trust a virgo man (we still love u ian)

A DEMO he says, like this isn't already a masterpiece on par with Seraph. As someone who also struggles with BPD I can not stress enough how seen this music makes me feel. The emotions sent thru all of these songs are healing. There literally are not enough words in any language to express how I feel, but I hope Christian knows how much he is loved and what his art does for us.

Finally I feel like someone else gets it, like Ian dude you’re the first artist who’s made me feel ACTUALLY understood, so much of your shit feels like a perfect representation of how I feel and how I am on the inside. Nobody else fucking gets it but I listen to your music and watch your music videos and every time I’m thinking ‘goddamn, this is what it feels like. I’m not alone, I’m not the only one’ man you don’t know just how much that means to me.
With all the shaking and blurring of the screen, it feels like a fight between Ian and Mito to control the body. A fight to front in his mind. Mito didn't ask to be the way he is, the role he was born into. Its the one he must play, but to blame him, he never asked to be this way. I feel that this has a lot of really stellar representations of what dissociation is like, and when parts of yourself are fighting to come through, how it feels like a struggle, or when you feel that part of yourself you dread coming forth, when that part of you never wanted to be that way. I really love these videos and how seen they make me feel. xx

It's such a real and raw experience, and to find something like DPR Ian that you can really relate to and identify with in your own experience is so fortunate. A little less lonely, maybe! Everytime I come to this song, I feel for Mito, like he didn't ask to be this role, but because he is, he's almost villainized in the narrative, and he doesn't want to be. He just wants to be understood.

you could be right but I just want to say that this does also happen when you're used to playing a certain version. we heard a bit of the remastered spotify version on his live before and I thought the original was better, until the new one ended up stuck in my head and grew on me way more. and now I'll have to see if the same happens with limbo for me

Your art is so beyond just a disorder on display, if you do decide to let Mito 3 be the end of this lore, then so be it. This song... 😢 MITO may have a melodramatic bent, but these lyrics speak powerfully to the pain he's absorbed. "I have up long ago, so you could dream it all." That describes an intense sacrifice to endure the strain of all Christian's traumas while letting him "sleep" through it. I hope one day that Christian will be able to make a healthy consolidation and reconcile the pain his alters have taken with the memories, or lack of them, that he experiences.

I have to say this. As a person who has Bipolar all my life I relate to every single word in this song. every. single. word. He is the only person I have encountered so far who is able to accurately and perfectly depict the sufferings that we have to endure every single day, every minute, every second. I think every BP person would be able to understand the misery of being seen as a monster, a freak, a creep by ppl around us because they can't understand this illness, and feeling like a practical joke all the time becuz we are constantly being sent to the highest highs, where we are tricked into thinking that things are fixed and life is perfect again becuz of the manic delusion, only to be damned to the lowest lows a few days later and realize that nothing has ever been fixed. It's like the universe is playing a cruel game on us. I came back to this song every time I was in a depressive episode, and I just can't say enough how lucky and blessed we, as a community, are to have Christian in our lives. He has given us a voice.

The combination of this music, this voice and the character’s facial expressions has been causing me a storm of emotions. A mixture of obsession, sadness, anxiety, love, empathy, understanding, admiration and pain is literally tearing me apart from the inside.

"Oh, I gave up long ago. So you could dream it all but now I stand alone" This gets me every single time. I gave up apart of myself to be the "perfect" person and it broke me in so many ways. I tried so hard to be a perfect student who had straight A's and got a free ride to a college. I did it... only to have a mental break down and became ill. I lost the scholarship and those years I was so hard on myself. I had my life planned out and now its gone. I gave up so much only for it to disappear in an instant. It really put life into a whole new perspective. I hold every moment close to me and I try to make the best of it all.

First time I was listening to this song I was thinking, "Wow this one is a very good one, it might be my favorite one yet." Later then, I watched Roscoe's video reaction and a little discussion about this M/V only to find out that this is literally MITO singing his hearts out. They said it's like telling the story of how it feels to be MITO in Ian's SKINS, as if he's trying to reach out. Now I'm here listening this song on loop, at 4.30 a.m., while bawling my eyes out. My heart's literally breaking when the lyrics said "I never asked to be like this." 😢

I swear over half of Ian's MVs and songs make me so emotional. He does such an amazing job of expressing and showing how I feel inside during me deepest darkest times. Which as of the past few years have been almost constant. I have people in my life that I see me being this way annoys or inconveniences them. So the way Ian screams out the lyric "I never asked to be like this" really stabs deep into my soul and makes me sob like a baby every time. It's so true. I never asked to be like this 💔

God I felt this song all the way to my bones. With each pluck of the guitar strings lighting up my nerves. The lyrics pulling out all emotions of frustrations and grief buried in my chest and throwing it back at the world that called me to bite my tongue.
