wow ! thank you savd me a trip to the City !! I had put the chain on wrong and thought I had bust it ! A little 72 year old lady bustinga Stihl ! No way Bravo !!!! Boy I love it ! 🤩🤩🤩
I just used this for the first time today! I love it! A little caveat though, the sales guy told me this is the only stihl chainsaw that doesn't automatically oil itself. So you have to manually put oil on the chain every few cuts. To me it's no biggie! Works great.
All right this little saw looks really cool . I want to add one to my line up ! . .... Just a crazy idea but maybe you guys could make a mini dime tip bar for this 1/4 pic .43 gauge chain .

I just ought one and the chain jumps off every cut. As it looks like you’re adjusting the chain in the video, I tried turning the knob on the cover but it doesn’t tighten it. Please help! Not useful at all and. Otho g in the manual about this!!!
Hello Candace! Thank you for your comment! In order to mount the bar and chain, fit the chain in the bar groove so that the arrows on the tie straps on the top of the bar point in the direction of rotation. Fit the guide bar and chain on the garden pruner and check the following points: Chain drive links are seated in teeth of chain sprocket Peg is located in guide bar’s slot. The collar stud is located in the guide bar’s slot. The guide bar may be either way round. The logo on the guide bar may also be upside down. Tension the chain. Fit the sprocket cover so that it is flush with the garden pruner. Rotate the wingnut clockwise until the chain sprocket cover is firmly seated. Fold down the grip of the wingnut. Regarding the tensioning of the saw, the saw chain expands or contracts during cutting work. Chain tension changes as a result. Check the chain tension regularly during operation and readjust if necessary. Switch off the garden pruner and remove the battery. Raise the grip of the wingnut. Rotate the wingnut two turns counterclockwise. The wingnut is loose. If you are still encountering issues after following the above, please contact our colleagues in your country, they will be able to assist you on this! www.stihl.com/local-stihl-representative.aspx
Huge problem not made clear here. It's all over in a single second of this at 58. It's how to get the chain behind the sprocket wheel AT THE SAME TIME as slotting the bar into its slide. VERY VERY DIFFICULT! Once done it's a pretty good little machine - but Oh! the frustration with refitting the chain!

Great question. The wingnut and cover are sold as a set to ensure that all components work seamlessly together. This practice helps to avoid any potential mismatches and provides you with a hassle-free experience. Thanks for your input!

@@Stihl I was wondering because there are different .043 chains 3/8 &1/4 as the PM3 which it has, even if the bar can not be upgraded, different purpose (speciality) chains would be awesome to have. Is it really not possible or is it not recommended? And what about a slightly upgraded battery pack?

Following your clear instruction, I fixed my off-rail chain to my little chainsaw. Thank you!
We're happy to hear that! 🧡
Bought mine from Buxtons Staffordshire.Real friendly people. Absolutely love this little pruner ,it makes short work of 3 inch diameter branches too.
Glad to hear you love your pruner and had a good experience with Buxtons. Happy pruning!

I think I saw them on Amazon. Did you ever find an extra chain?
They are a nice tool for trimming larger limbs than you'd get with pruners.

Why can't you buy wingnut alone, without having to buy cover as well ?
