- Ever wondered what the Army Reserve is about? It’s about the men and women in our ranks, usually from within our community. We are parents…. We are sons and daughters...We are teachers, preachers, truck drivers, nurses, mechanics and more. But once a month, and two weeks out of the year we practice our individual skill sets, and rehearse our roles as a team… so we can better assist when called upon.

Do they work all day on Sunday during their weekend a month?
While I think that this was a nice informative video, I also realize the army has been having alot of recruiting issues. The approach might be a little wrong these days, for those who want to be future war fighters. What happened to the intensity the army once had. Hunt down our nations enemies and kick in doors. This is what motivated me to join active duty for over 6 years. It's not that I promote violence, not at all. But I know what the ranks of combat arms want to see, and recruiting of the proper men and women for those ranks is of high importance. End pointless rant..

@tripp6449 For me, it was the mental switch, you will literally will become another person. Stronger mentally and physically.
The Army Reserve doesn’t focus on that half of things so much because, unlike it’s active duty and national guard counterparts, the Army Reserve doesn’t technically have combat arms units or MOSs. There’s debatable “logistics” units like MPs and Engineers, you will not find infantry, tanks, artillery, air defense artillery, or Cav.
