Your children are truly blessed to have such wonderfully devoted parents.🙏🏻❤️ A little tip to share: Our family always made a big pot of Sunday gravy( it’s gravy if there is meat in it) every few weeks. We would portion it into quart containers and freeze it. This way you can use it for pasta, lasagna, pizza… whatever. It just saves time during the week to have that part ready. 🍅🧄🍝

Looks yummy! If your pasta gets to mushy and dry, try undercooking it slightly and saving the pasta water when you drain it. Add the pasta to the cream and Parmesan sauce and add about a 1/2 cup and up to a cup of pasta water. Stir until the sauce thickens - on med low heat. It may seem like it would thin out the sauce but the starch in the water actually thickens the sauce and makes it very creamy :)
I’m not a fan of mustard but I’ll try anything from cutie Moses lol. I love that he tried the beets. I love them but they do remind me of dirt haha. Another great week of meals
When I cook the ground beef I add my chili powder. Then I pour everything in the crock pot including my diced green pepper and onion. I like to keep it in the crock pot all day long and eat it throughout the day. The longer it simmers in the crock pot, the more the flavors blend together.
Have you ever made your own buttermilk? Naomi is so creative, I wondered if she’s tried that - great job!! ! Better to use less salt when putting ingredients in, because if anyone wants more they can add it after cooked. If you add all the salt when cooking, you can't take it out after it's cooked. Not sure if you do this, but squeezing lemon on salmon goes great together. I'm so glad the baby is growing and healthy 🙏❤❤
Did you ever think of getting one of those oven thermometers? You can hang them from one of the racks, usually right in the middle. Then you'd have a better idea what the temp is inside your oven. You can find a decent one for under $10. Just a thought...
We love homemade Alfredo! We add about 3oz of cream cheese in small cubes melted with the Parmesan. Also fresh cracked pepper and a bit of grated nutmeg. 👨🏻🍳💋

I really enjoy your cooking videos. But as an Italian born and bred in the Bronx - please do not use cottage cheese in lasagna! Only ricotta! Season the ricotta with salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley and nutmeg. Don't overdue the nutmeg. But a little ground nutmeg adds a great flavor to the ricotta. Trust me on this one. If you want an easier meal to put together do baked ziti. Same flavors as lasagna but less work and you can find whole wheat ziti (or rigatoni which also works) much easier than whole wheat lasagna noodles.
Do you ever have leftovers? It seems like I make the same quantities of food you do, but for 4 kids. We eat a lot of leftovers but they get tired of it. I guess I was made to cook for a big family!

When I home school initially I just made uniforms for the girls and they put them on. However, we ended up just wearing regular clothes. Never had an issue with. Yes, they're wearing their PJ's.
Honestly we do have some that try to wear pjs all day. But I just ask them after breakfast to get their clothes on and usually they are excited to get dressed for the day. Sometimes the little ones get creative though😅

Your chili is almost made the same way I make mine. I use ken pendleton's in its own juice. I also add 2 or 3 cans of diced tomatoes with jalapeños.

@@ambergibson1930 They are pretty happy at home for now while they are in college. Dorm bills and food is astronomical. They do hang out with friends though.

I really enjoy your cooking videos. But as an Italian born and bred in the Bronx - please do not use cottage cheese in lasagna! Only ricotta! Season the ricotta with salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley and nutmeg. Don't overdue the nutmeg. But a little ground nutmeg adds a great flavor to the ricotta. Trust me on this one. If you want an easier meal to put together do baked ziti. Same flavors as lasagna but less work and you can find whole wheat ziti (or rigatoni which also works) much easier than whole wheat lasagna noodles.

Do you ever have leftovers? It seems like I make the same quantities of food you do, but for 4 kids. We eat a lot of leftovers but they get tired of it. I guess I was made to cook for a big family!

When I home school initially I just made uniforms for the girls and they put them on. However, we ended up just wearing regular clothes. Never had an issue with.
Yes, they're wearing their PJ's.
Honestly we do have some that try to wear pjs all day. But I just ask them after breakfast to get their clothes on and usually they are excited to get dressed for the day. Sometimes the little ones get creative though😅
