I read his wartime stories in the late 70's I believe. It was the german translation of his book, called '...steigen aus ... Maschine brennt... '. New horizons opened up. Great book.

The music totally ruined this for me. It was inappropriate, intrusive and unnecessary. Nobody with real production nouse would have distracted from a wonderful story with gratuitous noise.
