    Very useful. Btw, always connect the ground. You're introducing the scope into the circuit so you should still ground it. My professor said always ground unless you have a reason not to.

    Why is your Tx set up is for channel 3 but you are using channel 1 to measure.

      its because i was not even looking at the tx pin, i was looking at only rx pin from which the arduino was transmitting the signal to the oscilloscope, and the rx was setup for channel 1
