Hi there, what a brilliant tutorial video thank you so well explained.
In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Just ordered this but the split shot one to put up in the bow of my fishing boat. Have an Elite 9 fs on dash. Not worried about networking them just want something simple and affordable that shows my jigs, fish, bottom, depth, and a bit of gps use. will use transducer built into trolling motor.
Good! Is it possible to create a structure map to the chart? I can only log sonar but not see the structure
If you purchased charts like Navionics, you need tweezers to remove the micro SD card each time you want to update the charts.

I have this model and I am facing a problem. When I set depth to auto range the screen shows only the first 60 feet of depth. Am I dowing something wrong? I have to note that this was not the case when I first used it
I bought the eagle 9 and its basically the same as the reveal and my maps look nothing like that. My navionics are just blue squares. Thats it

I have the hook reveal unit with a small transducer. In order to get sidescan all I would need is the triple shot transducer right?

Hello, thank you for your question - yes this is possible. You would use the cursor arrows to highlight where you want to put waypoint and enter.
Is this unit worth buying? Has anyone had any issues with the triple shot transducer or unit itself? I’m only asking because this unit is my first choice however I have seen some bad reviews.

I’ve got a question when you have the fish finder on simulation do you also have to turn on the demo function? I’m having trouble adjusting mine on simulation. It shows nothing.
Hi Danny thank you for your question. In simulation mode you will need to load a simulation file into the unit which is found under the files sub menu in Simulator menu. There are 2 files labelled sonar files. Simply load one of these and then you will be able to see the functions in simulation mode.

Hi Peter, thank you for your question. There is a built in base chart but it has no detail and is simply a rough country outline that shows land in yellow and sea in blue.

Junk unit. Mine worked a year and bow won't read any sonar. After reading many forums come to find out hundreds of people are having the same issue and are having to pay out of pocket for lowrance to "repair" the unit. I spent 800 dollars and i will never buy a lowrance unit again
