    A college professor told me that Soviet Union was a dictatorship for their public and was a democracy when it comes to lawmakers and the secretary general, and land gifts were not allowed between countries of the Union, unless signed by Secretary general(common president of union of nations) and legally endorsed by two third of lawmakers (politburo members) . Any land gift from one country to another has to be signed by the common President (Khrushchev) and two third of lawmakers of the two countries in the union. Who signed transfer letter on Soviet Government letterhead? :::: Two unknown lawmakers, called MP or member of politburo) signed a typed letter with government letterhead in secrecy, one was a president or presidium of the duma foreign relations committee and other co-signer was a member of Duma. The document had said that the the two men were transferring Crimea from Russia to Ukraine in the coming days. This is illegal. He told pretty much all of the groups of Crimea delegates, every time that, contrary to popular belief and rumors, that he, Nikita Khrushchev, never gave or gifted Crimea from Russia - maps to Ukraine by a signed transfer of deed.Khrushchev never avoided Crimean delegates of citizens visiting him in his office in Moscow after 1954, saying those hidden documents do not have his signature. After the fall of communism, his children were subject to lynch mobs. He repeated his story to visiting Crimea delegates that contrary to popular belief , that he never gifted Crimea from Russia to Ukraine by signing papers. He told them Russia still owns Crimea, as he did not sign such papers. The land transfer has to be signed by two third majority of all lawmakers of the two countries involved in a land grant, along with his signature. He says he had once written an office memo one time at night when he came to the office. Next, the same year, Khrushchev, says he transferred salary funds and sources of salary and Crimea municipal expense funds from Russia treasury to Ukraine treasury. He told them that |Soviet were hidden from the public, and if he could reassure them, he cannot show them what the law say at the time. Khrushchev admitted that this may create confusion (or may not create confusion) in future if and when the Soviet Union broke up into individual nations. Khrushchev made it clear he never transferred the land-mass of Crimea from Russia to another country such as Ukraine. He transferred municipal expenses. It's like saying, the salaries of municipal town hall workers of Jackson, Mississippi will be coming from the government of Canada. Usually foreign workers of a neighboring country are not paid salaries by another country. But it can happen. It doesn't mean Canada owns Jackson, MS.

    I can see why Crimea is so important to Russia,,,,becouse is part of their history

    • @CruzerToo
      @CruzerToo  10 лет назад +3

      More important, I think, is the fact that Sevastapol happens to be home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and is their only ice-free port year round.

      We had a treaty with Ukraine that out fleet can stay there till 2044...
      So..

    The most beautiful palace in the Crimea is clearly the Livadi Palace, not for nothing built in Italian Renaissance style. Unfortunately, the Crimea was annexed by the Russians, who also shot down a Malaysian Airlines airliner through Ukraine with a missile. One of Putin's many filthy things, so democratic that if you're not in his favor if you're okay you end up in prison, if you're wrong they'll kill you, maybe with polonium, as has already happened.
