Again, where is the separate footpath for people to walk?
Thank you for documenting this. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us the new construction.
Can you please influence the development company or the local administration and help them understand how proper roads are built in other countries? You can Google for pictures. At the minimum it should support the following:
    1. We need a road for vehicles (one or multiple lanes). This whole area should be tarred.
    2. You need a proper footpath raised above the road surface with curbs. This can be constructed with concrete, asphalt, crushed stone etc. This should be unobstructed, nice looking and clean so people can walk. There should be no mud visible anywhere. Open mud area is what makes the entire country dusty and dirty.
    3. Trees and greenery either in the middle of the road or next to the footpath. It will be better if trees are on the side of the footpath and plants like bougainvillea planted in the middle of the road.
    4. Any kind of road side stalls, stores etc must be planned and need permission from the local administration. They should be separate from the footpath. Store owners do not have right over pedestrians- normal rule followed by the rest of the world.
    5. The construction should support proper drainage for rain water flow to the ground. Trees will help and also we need drainage holes that collect water and sent to the ground.
    6. Pedestrian crossing signals at every intersection so we don’t have to run through traffic!!! How many pedestrian crossing did you notice?
Please look for all the above. If you dont see any of the above, please point that out in your video. Please notify the developers and complain to the local politicians.
Iam pointing this out for our own good and our future generation. Right now India is a joke for the rest of the world. We are called the dirtiest country in the world even by Africa. People say they would rather live in Afghanistan than in India.
Do we have even one proper, clean, well constructed street in India that is similar to a normal street in Europe or the US?
Right around the parliament in Delhi, we have a decent street. That’s it. Isn’t that a shame? A large country like India does not have even a single proper street where footpath is separated from roadside stalls and junk, where garbage is separated with commercial garbage cans etc ! Where is the greenery so we can breathe ?
Can you please use your influence to make sure they are constructing proper streets that are maintainable and sustainable? We deserve better. Right now the whole country is an ugly mess 😢
The current govt is doing a much better job with infrastructure, but I don’t think people who are building these understand how infrastructure is built all the across the world. It’s about time we learn this and make our lives easier.
Also our new construction completely lack Aesthetics. Look at our ancestors who built the Madurai Meenakshi or ranganathaswamy temple complex. It’s well planned, proper, beautiful with clean aesthetics. Compare that to the new Ujjain corridor- all the new statues etc lack aesthetics. It’s quite simply nowhere as beautiful as Kajuraho or hoysala architecture/aesthetics. We have become an inferior civilization that does not understand the basics of aesthetics. Look at the Japanese and their aesthetics - we need to learn and fix our problems.
The only exception is BAPS swaminarayan temples. They understand aesthetics, but the govt built constructions completely lack aesthetics.
On top of bad construction, these new constructed streets are painted with ugly looking colors and mural art work. This makes it look even more messier! Till these people learn aesthetics, they should stick to a normal good paint color! Learn from our ancient temple art work before painting nonsense on our streets.
Thanks again for the good work. Hope you can help 🙏🏻

We need footpaths raised above the roads so people with no civic sense won’t park their vehicles on the footpath! The parking lane should be a separate lane.
We also need pedestrian crossing signals. How are people supposed to cross these roads?
