Thank you, that was interesting. You have a fine collection there. We had a couple when I was a kid for around the campsite, but I didn't know much about them. The railroad one was my favorite.
I have to say those cowboys were lucky to have such a tasty meal prepared for them.

i have electric lights and coleman white gas lights and some propane lights but my favorite are the(barn) kerosene lights. They put out enough light to get around but not too much to blind you. These are the best for just sitting around and talking with friends in the evening. I have not used the citronella fuel but will try it now on your recommendation. i use the brand Caswell to seal tanks as that is what alot of the coleman guys use on the pressure tanks. My father-in-law was born in 1913 in kansas and I have his Dietz #2 he used on the old homestead; a treasure. I've been watching you since you started with Josh. Your're a hard worker and I'm glad you started this channel. I think working on the lanterns would make some good videos in addition to your cowboy cooking. Thanks for taking us along.

Interesting class on lanterns. I'll have to keep my eye out for some. I had never even considered using the citrinella oil in them like you would a tiki torch.
I'm watching this as Ian is battering the Carolinas. I hope that you aren't getting too much wind and rain up your way. I've worked to clear gutters, ditches and drains here to allow the water to keep moving as it hits the ground.
