You guys are like part of our family.Always looking for your next video.Luca your a mastered Drone pilot and Lucky Leaw navigator , and love Sara's stories and cooking talents..Be safe out there,Love you beautiful people,Doug and Jane
Today February 13th I finished watching the video, been busy. Wow amazing drone footage and love seeing a VW Bus in this video as you know we have our 1977 VW Bus Roxy. Sara thanks for the ferry dance that made us smile. We just adore you guys and love your Channel so much can’t wait for more Sara, Luca, and Lucky LeaW adventures 😘❤️🚚
I love the lenght of your videos, 27 minutes to forget our boring lives and to inmmerse in a fantastic adventure, the whole world around me dissapears when I'm watching your videos. I love also that you are so humble and peaceful and positive. Have a great trip guys! thanks for sharing this adventure.
That was awesome! It's like we were on the ferry with you. Almost. The best coverage of the ferry we've seen by far! And if course it had you guys 😍👏👍🤗🥂😋☮️
Your video vlogs always make me happy and inspires me to get out and explore. Luca is very good with his drone skills, and is a very good man .Sara is very intelligent and pretty! I appreciate both of you!
Hello Sunshine People This afternoon I have seentwo of your Videos of the Carretera Austral. I enjoyed it very much because ist rembered me to my cycle Trip five years ago. Wonderful pictures and Stories. In the next days I will see your Videos. Gerhard from Germany
Extraordinary- to find the quote from the Little Prince in a place that is devastated. How do you make a monument to the sweet spirits who lived and loved? That's one of the bestest ever! Love and more happy Wanderings- Jennie
These series is such a pleasure to watch❤ your videos are always so easy to follow and send us positive vibes! Merry Christmas to your beautiful family! 🤗
So sad that in such a beautiful place in the world such horrible things have to happen. Incredible how people live in the middle of no where. Thank you so much for sharing. Stay safe beautiful people. 💕😚🤗
I love how you tell the story and it feels like you are telling it to me. 🙏❤️ lots of channels can tell a story to the camera, but you guys make us feel like we are right beside you on the journey. I hope you continue your adventures for years to come. ❤️🇨🇦
I love all of your videos, but that one was really special, the excitement of boarding the ferry in anticipation of the Carretera Austral (I saw a great documentary a few months ago about it, amazing) and showing us how Mothere Nature can take away everything we hold dear in just a matter of minutes. Sara, I found your coffee at the store the other day, and it's sooooooo good! Safe travels y un abrazo desde Mexico.
I've been binge watching your recent videos for the past couple days. I travelled in South America back in 1997. You are bringing back so many good memories, thank you! Also, as a fellow drone pilot I must say that Luca's footage just keeps getting better and better!
Mike Boruta you are very welcome! One of the reasons we are doing these videos is to be able to watch them in 10 years and get all the good memories back! Thank you for the compliment 🙏🏻😉👍🏻
Makes me think about the ferry ride from Vancouver to Nanaimo. Not as long as your ride. Never been on the Bowen Island ferry though. Took a motorboat ride around Bowen Island when I was a teenager.... a couple of days ago....(I have my 66th birthday tomorrow).
Beautiful drone shots, enjoyed the ferry, but what really touched me was the destruction of that village. Most people would not have shown that but y’all showed us the reality of what those people went through. Probably no help to rebuild so those people really struggle. Take care Luca and Sara, stay safe!
Interesting to see your ferry journey. Not unlike the 8 hour crossing between Belfast and Liverpool. Normally passengers not allowed near the car deck so you did well to be allowed to sleep in your van. Normally I like to get away from vehicle for a break. Enjoy your travels.
Great Video .. Complimenti .. There is another way to travel to Chaiten .. you need to drive south from Puerto Montt about an hour and there take a Ferry from Caleta La Arena to Caleta Puelche .. short trip, then drive to Hornopiren to take another Ferry, then drive again to take another Ferry that get, north from Chaiten, so you need to drive again. Very Nice Area
Good night Beautiful people. Nice to you continuing your journey.Have a safe stay in Chaitén.Very Sad to see destruction due to sudden eruption of volcano.
I like following you guys on Goggle maps and a lot of it I'm able to see it from ground level. This time on Goggle maps it still has Villa Sta Lucia the way it was before the flood and I was able to find the house showing the water level on the front door you guys stood in front of. Seeing that house and all of the other houses still standing was very humbling. Safe travels.
I love ear plugs for difficult noisy situations. They dull the noise and let you sleep. Raspberry jelly, my favorite!!! Yum. Amazing video. Everything you do is great!! Love you bunches!!
maca lopez infelizmente no podemos hacer todo. Tenemos poco tiempo para llegar en Ushuaia antes que aha demasiado frío. De vuelta vamos acer la costa del Atlántico. Eres de Chile?
I really like the bloopers at the end! I look you up on internet and Y’all are famous! Not only for making great videos but for sooo much more. Wow, I’m very impressed!
twallaceii thank you very much! Yes we left our “successful” lives and decided to “leave everything and wander”, our dreams where more important than “success”. ❤️🙏🏻🤗👍🏻❤️👋🏻
👋 I’m just 5 minutes into the video watching on my break. Wow drone footage just beautiful, can’t wait to watch the rest in a ltlbit. Sara, Luca you’re both beautiful your skin, you’re face features beautiful...muchos besitos 😘😘😘🌻😘
Our plan, is no plan the best kind of plan love it lol!!!! Glad you made it safely go and enjoy beautiful people. Can't wait to see what you find. Stay safe! !
Thank you Sara and Luca for another fantastic episode of your current expedition. I know it has been sometime since you were bitten by a dog Luca but I thought you might like to know something I have just read about Drones upsetting dogs. Apparently it is the ultrasonic sound transmitted from sensors on some Drones that disturbs a dogs sensitive hearing. A presto! xx
"...But first, coffee." Got to have priorities in life! ☕❤ Great video! Luca, great drone shots! Sara, this video had many sweet moments of the two of you being playful & funny -- great editing!
Rhonda Zappa Lewis thank you very much! Yeah usually we are always happy like that when we don’t have to overcome problems or challenges 😁😁😁 and our expedition has been full of problems to solve 😂🤣😂🤣 stay tuned, new video coming up tomorrow morning 🤗❤️😉👋🏻
@@leaw Yes, but you two are overcomers and these obstacles make you stronger and know that when you face trials, you may be set back a little, but you will always come through it! You have proven this over and over again. ❤️
Ok I came 4 years late watch your videos, so I hate to say this BUT: you took the more expensive and less scenic ferry. The usual route is to drive from Puerto Montt to Caleta Arenas (1 hour), take a short ferry (20 minutes), and drive to Hornopiren (1 hour). From there, in the morning, you take a ferry to Caleta Gonzalo (4 hours), and from there, drive to Chaiten. The 4 hours navigation through a fiord is a real scenic wonder, and the ferry fee is less than half of what you paid in Puerto Monttt. I hope the tip is useful to other travelers.
... so was almost expecting to see Trent & Allie at the ferry, but they seem to have found one that departs at 9am... for a daytime cruise... anyway, hope to see you meet up with them soon... Cheers 'n Thanks ~ S
Hi Steve! Thanks for your comment. They were in another town and they took the ferry for another route, not Puerto Montt to Chaitén. Hope to see them down in Ushuaia ciao!
Great to see your smiling faces!! Apart from the devastated area, the landscape was gorgeous!! The snow covered mountain was soooo pretty. Can’t wait for the next episode! Hugs from sunny Arizona 💖😎💖
Jen Jen Pinto thank you very much 🙏🏻😉👍🏻 we hope to meet Trent&Allie and the Matneys on the road but everyone has different schedul and plans so we don’t know yet 😉👍🏻
I'm from Chile and was doing this trip this month last year. This won't be the only ferry you'll have to take, depending of how far south you want to go. Make sure to try the local food! Doing the ferry during the day is best as the fiordos are many and amazing views. Will you go to Coyhaique? I hope you enjoy this amazingly beautiful patagonia,
LeAw Leave Everything and Wander I grew up in Coyahique. If you have any questions let me know. I was born in Villarrica (IX region) if you have time, visit. It’s very pretty! I have family there if you need anything. I live in California. I’m so happy that you are there! Enjoy!
Do you have a Subarban NT12 or 16 or something of the sort furnace? Regardless the furnaces in these are really basic.. I doubt even a thermocouple is in it. I believe I heard you say blower but no heat. So like I said these are hard to get too but super simple systems. The gas should never burn without the fan cooling it so there'll always be asafety switch that checks for that fan working before allowing propane and spark. It is the "sail switch".. It is an overrideable switch or is externally normally reachable with a bent clothes hanger in order to manually activate it. So the sail switch is a on/off switch that allows the propane to flow only if the sail on the switch is blown forward by the blower fan. It generally has two male wire connectors on the bottom front edge to accept two female wire connectors and the body of the switch is about an inch tall, a half inch wide, and a 1/4 inch thick. Its held to the side with a screw. The flag (sail) is made of a "flag pole" about 2'-3 inches tall made of a flat light weight skinny piece of sheet metal. Sttached to the flagpole is about a 1/2 inch wide and about an 1 1/2 or more tall sail. It is a sheetmetal rectangle flag tap welded to the pole. That sail catches the wind from the blower and closes the connection. What happens is the switch is semi delicate and the flag part gets old and falls off or gets knocked away in those tight quarters. Hence though the blower fan comes on the sail switch arm won't get blown forward and create a connection and the circuit remains open. If it is reachable, which it normally is, you can use a bent coat hanger to grab that sail switch arm and generally pull it forward to close that connection. You will here a tiny click as you gently pull it forward. To keep using your furnace the switch will need to be held forward manually to keep the propane flowing so that blower is sending out hot air instead of cold.. That switch is always in front of the blower fan and is probably on the lower left side of the furnace. It is a pain in the ass to get to because of the sheer metal box the furnace is inserted into. But if this is the issue manually override by pulling it forward. It's simply an easily breakable safety switch. Fix it or hardwire around the issue when and if you feel like messing with it...
Deborah Simpson thank you very much for your message, we have a Atwood Mobile - Model 8012-II and probably I need to take all the furnace out to reach that switch. I’ll try to find a video on RUclips to see how it is made.
The ferry ride was smooth, right! But in this destroyed city, I didn't understand if it was a hurricane or a volcano. But I felt sorry for those who lost their homes. A question Sara, why do you put baking bicarbonate in the fridge? I had never seen that. As always, I follow you through the videos. Thank you and a warm hug to Lucas and Sara.
For all the National Parks, see RutadelosParques.org. The last & probably most beautiful crossing to Argentina for vehicles is Paso Rodolfo Roballos. Take X-83 off Ch-7 about 17 km north of Cochrane, last gas is Tranquillo. X-83 goes through the Parque Patagonia (ParquePatagonia.com), stop at Admin Center 11 km after turnoff, lots of trails, stay awhile. Road is maintained gravel & continues for 90 miles to Arg-40, watch for livestock & wild guanacos. Will be 2-immigration check points, 1 on Chile side & 1 on Argentina side, quick & friendly, watch out for the house dog on Arg side. Cheers!
@@leaw Either one is a winner! The difference is 265 is another lake while Paso Rodolfo Roballos road starts from the wet coast and transitions to the dry Patagonian Steppe. Also the Parque Patagonia is the most recent addition to the National Park system. It was the gift of Kris & Doug Tompkins (Esprit, The North Face), worth a stop. Not sure if El Chalten is on your list, but if you don't stop going south, stop on your northbound trip. Reach El Chalten by taking Arg-23 off Arg-40. This is the trekking & climbing center of Patagonia. Cheers! There is a little rest stop (doesn't look like much), La Leona between Chalten & Calafate, Butch & Sundance spent some time there, also worth a stop.
Ok as with other comments- just watched Trent & Allie and now wondering when you guys reunite? Also - kara & nate are posting that they are in ushuaia as well - RUclipsrs reunite lol
sandra caligiuri we hope to meet Trent&Allie, the Matneys and Kara&Nate on the road but everyone has different schedul and plans so we don’t know yet 😉👍🏻

What was the music you played at the destruction site? 😢 and beautiful! I believe it was at 24 minute mark? 🥰
So
the sail switch is a on/off switch that allows the propane to flow only if the sail on the switch is blown forward by the blower fan.
@@leaw schematic.. see the sail switch on the right.. verrrrry simple system.. images.app.goo.gl/VQ8SPTVndn4uKvPx8
Baking soda absorbs odors. If you are in the US you can even find boxes of it especially designed for the fridge in any grocery store.
@@helenholt1161 No! I live in Brazil. I'll start using it in my fridge too. I did not know that. Thanks for the information.
Wasn't a hurricane nor a volcano, it was a flood of mud and water coming from the mountains because of heavy rain and snow melting.
@@christianmartinez1921 I didn't know, thanks for the info
Thank you very much everyone helping me answer to the comments 😁👍🏻😉👋🏻 well done 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Trent & Allie are not far behind you. Any plans to meet up with them?
JMAloha TV we hope to meet Trent&Allie and the Matneys on the road but everyone has different schedul and plans so we don’t know yet 😉👍🏻
Cheers!
vanilla50 wow! Now we will have to plan if do the 265 or the one you suggest 😱😱😱👍🏻😉👍🏻
