I'm a gyn pathologist in Germany and I recently diagnosed Erythrasma of the vulva, thanks to your dermpath book. But I don't know if it was confirmed by microbiology.
Awesome well done! It’s subtle and easy to miss. To my knowledge it’s not routinely confirmed by microbial culture. Once I see it on biopsy and report it, the treating physician uses topical antibiotics to treat it.
Although I appreciate your enthusiasm as a teacher with the words "cool and fun" for identifying the pathology please remember you are a doctor and we are patients. We are someone's wife, brother, husband, son etc. Chordoma is not cool and fun. We are here to learn about the disease. I hope my doctor doesn't see me as a play thing that is cool or fun, or some jackpot he hit to gawk at. 💔😫 .

Exhilarating presentation
Hi Jerard, isn't the bone section a benign notochordal cell tumor? What differentiates it from a chordoma besides the extraosseous extension?
