I'll take CRT's any day over any LCD panel, but i understand why you wanted to part with it, i just wish more people gave them to people who know how to fix em instead of throwing the poor things in the dumpster...
With the global pandemic happening, there aren't any available professionals who can work on these things anymore. And even if there were, the lead time and work could take a very long time for what may or may not be guaranteed fixes.
Definitely don't buy a Makvision. Mine has an incredibly low amount of hours on it (that monitor was only used in-home. It saw no arcade time) and it's already dead. I haven't messed with trying to fix it yet because I'm just using an LCD.

Did you have to adjust the Audio sync calibration in Stepmania with the new LCD ?
I adjusted the global offset by 3ms according to the supposed input lag it has and it has felt fine so far.
