I am coming to the end of 45 years of no International travel. I have never been on a plane to Europe. But in May 2023 I will be finally making my maiden flight abroad. I sampled the procedures of going through an airport and the physical effects of being on a plane flight in 2019 when I went to Jersey. But this is a full on experience. I cannot wait. I now feel better informed. Thank you.
good video, i went from malaga to berlin last october and for the flight i just needed a printed off copy of the location form for germany and one for when i returned to spain.
cool vid, reminds me of back in early june, when i eventually managed to get a flight after 7 cancellations, and being stranded in spain during lockdown since early march,45 min journey from linares by car, then only alsa coach of the day from jaen to malaga at 7.30 in the morning, half hour stop in granada, then to a deserted malaga bus station, hour wait for bus to airport, with myself and the driver only people on the bus the entire journey, almost deserted malaga airport, only one terminal open,no shops, cafes open.10 hour wait for flight to amsterdam, 9 hour stop over in schipol amsterdam airport,a few more people, but mainly deserted, then quick flight to heathrow
There were no Alsa buses that we saw going from the airport at that time, probably because of the airport being barely open. We wanted to pop into Malaga for lunch anyway :)
Yes and also great because its not that busy at all and less stressful! The only differences were that they had markings on the floor, blocked off sinks and toilets for keeping safe distances, hand sanitiser stations etc.
Good video. That food you guys were eating was making me hungry. Spain has the best food! Traveled to Spain to visit family a few weeks ago and also had to download the app to fill out all the health questions. Interesting that they never checked for that on your return to the UK. Did you have to quarantine?
another informative video Lauren, from you re buddy in massachusetts , if you can ever go to america i have an airbnb in springfield mass Dominick it is called ( springfield home with a view)
Well that was interesting... I'll be leaving in early October, from Normandy France, I expect to be in Andalusia within a month (I'll be traveling by the road). That's assuming I can stand wearing a mask all the time when I'm not on my motorcycle... This makes me hesitate to maybe go to Portugal first instead (and then Spain early next year) although I speak Spanish but not Portuguese. How did this particular aspect of the current Spanish life go for you?
NoJob4Life the mask wearing is fine and didn’t bother me. It just got a bit uncomfortable when we were walking up steps in the heat and I was a bit puffed haha (so unfit) 😂 if no one was around I would take the mask off for a couple minutes to get some more fresh air hahah. But day to day life it really didn’t effect me.
Thanks I live in The Sierra Nevada. Very handy video for my engilish friends and I living out here. We have heard so many stories. The truth seams to be just alot of form filling but out here Spain is stricter than The UK
How did you manage with travel/health insurance ? I could not travel to Spain as my insurance became invalid with the statement from the FCO, confirmed by my insurers.
Mike Edwards I pay my travel insurance yearly, so I already had insurance. But I don’t think my travel insurance would of covered it tbh. It’s just a risk we had to take. I have heard an insurance company called ‘safety wing’ covers for covid19.
Thanks very much for posting this. A very helpful video. I'm travelling to Malaga en route to Torre del Mar next Monday. I was anxious about the aerport procedure until I saw this. I should print off that form I suppose. I'll get my QR code tomorrow I think. I'm going to get a taxi although I usually get that bus from the central station. Thanks again. Hey those churros are extremely fattening. I suppose you don't mind as you're on holidays 😁😁
Took me 14 hours to get to Malaga from Manchester and now stuck in the shit hole Malaga airport and my flight has been delayed , looks like along crappy wait to get home totally not worth it 👎
Thanks! Unfortunately, Spain has been taken off the UK 'travel corridors' list so we have to quarantine on our return. hahah yes the churros were delicious!!!😍
@@Wanderlauren good to hear but for me I hate the MASKS and am excempt but would not wear one anyway they are not justified for this 99.7% recovery virus it's all madness and unnecessary in my opinion but glad you had good holiday 👍💓

@@Wanderlauren more like they are feeding into the BULLSHIT!
You can get the ALSA bus to Granada direct from the airport. :)
There were no Alsa buses that we saw going from the airport at that time, probably because of the airport being barely open. We wanted to pop into Malaga for lunch anyway :)
Very imformative video.Nice to see that there is a certain normality when travelling through airport.Did you find the airports helpful ?
Yes and also great because its not that busy at all and less stressful! The only differences were that they had markings on the floor, blocked off sinks and toilets for keeping safe distances, hand sanitiser stations etc.
@@Wanderlauren Thanks for the Info.
My mum is travelling to Menorca next Friday.Just hope Ryanair keep flying.x

Liz Coleman haha we had so much good food in Spain 😍 yes, we had to quarantine for 2 weeks.
Thank you, this makes me feel better about travelling now :)
yay im glad! :)
I went to Spain from New York. Everything fine on my side. Needless to say the country looks emptier than usual. Great for photography at least.
Yeah good for photos! Less crowded! Haha
Did you get questioned as to whether you trip was "essential travel". Helpful video, thank you. (we travel tomorrow)
Nope! Glad I could help! Have a great time 😁
What a time to go on your holiday to Spain. You may be there forever. Through security at Manchester airport in 1 minutes is a world record.
Haha yeah definitely a record! And nope, not in Spain forever, as this was filmed on the 13th of August and I’m already back home! 😊

Hey I forgot to ask. Are the toilets in Malaga airport open to the public
Yes! There are some where we got our QR code scanned/form checked.
Do you have to stay in Quarantine now?
Yes I had to quarantine for 2 weeks when I got back.
