You should anchor downwind of the shoal & cast your drop-shot into the wind & comb the rocks. There are some nice walleye in there ! Maybe try froggin' the windswept bullrushes in shallow on dreary days. An old killer for walleyes was a Worm-harness with a JuneBug spinner ahead of it to pull thru the coontail weeeds, Look for Cabbage weeds for Musky in deeper channels. Fish on !
Navionics helps. But I kinda wanted to fish without one for a bit just to learn visual stuff. I'm definitely getting a fish finder this winter for next spring. Thanks. Headed out tomorrow!!
That smallie was awesome. He gave you a nice battle. Breaking down a new spot is never easy. Great job.
Breaking down a new spot can be brutal but it's where all the learning happens.

Great points. Will keep it mind. Thanks for watching!
Very nice day without a fish finder. Tournament fishing is hard but it is a blast. Hope to see you on the trail next season.

Awesome stuff man. Which part of the lake were you at?
Thanks. North eastern half. Was pretty far from the causeway.
