My wife got me a mokume ring to replace my wedding band. She got it from the master blacksmith that owns iron river knife works. He’s one of the few masters in the states that makes this stuff. It is very rare here and although it is very soft it is the most spectacular piece of jewelry I own. The man walked into our store with about $50,000 of it for sale. He had rings, small bowls, knives and flatware all handmade mokume gane. We bought three pieces from him wholesale not realizing what it was worth. I wish we bought more.
@@SnorrioK he was retired traveling from show to show. I don’t even know if he’s alive anymore this was almost 4 years ago when I met him and he was in his mid 60’s. I’ll look for his card and I’ll let you know.

Absolutely amazing craftsmanship I never knew there was that much work to go into a wedding band and you did a really great job thank you for your videos God bless
Hola Elier. Excelente. Muchos aplausos
Very good, absolutely. You are showing the technique, you are not really these silver-copper rings for customers, good because they would fall apart due to galvanic corrosion. Really good work.
This was an unbelievably amazing video to watch! Been making jewellery for little over a year, and always looking for new skills. But this was insane! Would love to be able to make Mokume Gane at some point! :) :)
Nice, I like your use of flux solution between layers, and that you used twisted steel wire rather than bulky clamps. Very nice techniques, and beautiful workmanship!
Wow!! A lot of work… Just Beautiful!!! I’ve done Mokume Gane with metal clay, Silver & Copper, much easier. Thank you, you gave me tips & ideas to do more of this.
So how’s that done? I mean, is the shrinkage equal regarding copper and silver clay? I only tried some other techniques and only with silver PMC, but the thought occured to me when watching this it might be possible to do at home with PMC!
beautifull job! Excellent rings! I am trying to make Mokume gané jewellry for a long years. Finally after many trials by complicated ways I do it now very similar way like you do. Sometimes the most beautifull things are the simpliest! :-) Thanks for sharing your job!
My friend, you are one of the best jewelry craftsman I've seen on RUclips. Bobby White is not even in your league, not even close! I see he's copied your editing style but your stuff is on another level. Love these rings as they, depending what you charge, keep the price of the wedding game down. No gold needed. Beautiful!
@@ElierOlivos Thanks brother and more accurately stated you have the jewelery game on lock! Wish you had more videos I could watch this channel all year! Very relaxing to see a man work his craft the way you do. Even on the small stuff, the earings etc. No detail left out.You should have wayyyy more subscribers than you do.Wishing you the best. Oh and love your watch. Be well!
The Jewelry will outlast the reason it was made. Beautiful work on the METAL....perhaps one day we as a species might CRAFT real relationships with equal skills as a jeweler with the intent of making "LOVE" last as long as a few simple elements........ (Quite good really, this work You've wrought. Very well done)
Super cool video throughout, very nice finished pieces. I see you made sure to keep a layer of pure silver on the skin contact area, to avoid the copper being eaten away in galvanic reaction. One of my early rings that I experimented making was a copper/935 sterling twist, and my son wore it for awhile, the copper gradually was eaten away. lol Learn as you go.
Wow what an amazing process and your talent and craftsmanship is amazing as well sir I’m now a new subscriber and will be watching all your videos lol thanks for sharing those rings were amazing

They are beautiful rings. I found it amazing that you made the mokume-gane without a forge. Just bind heat and press together. Amazing work.

Dziękuję Ci bardzo.
My husband's father made our wedding bands from stainless steel. They are not as detailed as these rings, but they are one of a kind.
It takes a real man to craft his own wedding ring. Congrats 😁
Thank you.
Beautiful. Love the way the mokume gane turned out. Love the way you filed and styled the rings. Well done and thanks so much for sharing😘
