Coming from Alperton, Bridgewater Road, and knowing its history, it was still curious to hear that historian educating us all... I too remember the time when self-service was sparse and people queued patiently, nearly everyone greeted each other and you knew your neighbours. Nice to see integration and politeness. Tourism? Get off the the tube, and get to Wembley as well! Or ride the bus to Eailing too! Even a walk around One Tree Hill. A walk along the Grand Union canal... Green spaces? One Tree Hill, or the bus to Barham Park or even the bus to Eailing Common. Still, good to see the youth doing something positive with this video. Well done.
Went to Lyon park primary school, and Alperton high school and Stanley Avenue secondary school. I lived on Christchurch Green from birth, until I was 33 years old. Could not get out of Wembley quick enough, as soon as I got the chance.
