    • Sanctus from JazzMass ...
I edited the second part of the video to make the words of the presiding priest (Jared Stahler, who invites the congregation to the communion) audible. Here´s a transcript:
How wonderful is the work of your hands. When sin starved the world, you entered into the covenant to renew the whole. As a mother tenderly gathers her children, as a father joyfully welcomes his own to embrace the people as your own, to fill them with longing for a peace that would last and for a justice that would never fail. For countless generations your people hungered for the bread of freedom. From that you raised up Jesus your Son, the living bread, who ancient hungers are satisfied. He healed the sin though He Himself would suffer. He offered His life to sinners though death would not be death, with a love stronger than death. He opened wide his arms and surrendered his spirit.
The night which he was betrayed our Lord Jesus' took bread he broke it and gave it to his disciples saying, take eat and eat this is my body given for you do this for the remembrance. Than for supper he took the cup gave thanks and gave it to all who drank saying this cup is the new covenant in my blood shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin do this to all remembrance.
Gracious God, as we offer you our sacrifice of praise and activity, we remember Jesus was Son, Death could not find him. You reign upon in the spirit of holiness, exalted him as Lord of all creation.
Eternal God, let the Holy Spirit move in the power over us, over these humble gifts of your church that all who share in this bread and cup may become full in Christ
May his coming among us find us ever watchful in prayer, strong in truth and love, faithful in the breaking of the bread.
Then at last, while peoples will be freed, all whose visions yield, and with your servants of every kind and every place, with your whole creation we will sing your praise through your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom with whom in whom in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honor and glory are yours, oh my god. In your holy church, both now and forever. Amen
