I think it should count as an IzuOcha moment. Sure, it's not a confession moment (which would be a lot to expect before the final battle given how shonen usually are). But it was them both bonding about their respective villains to further establish their connection (something Deku didn't even have with his right hand man Bakugo) and has a small moment of Deku complimenting Uraraka on her physically appearance to show he has some level of attraction to her.

I like how Deku and Uraraka conversation centered around one of the central themes of this story. That it's not about forgiving villains are about understanding them. Understanding where they came from, how they got this way, what they love that could stop them, etc. It isn't as simple as beating them to a pulp because then you're just creating more villains in the future. And they're not afraid to do that either, because with some villains, like OFA, theyre just too far gone to reach and need to be stopped. But you won't know until you're reached that hand out.
I’ve read this part in the manga a bunch of times, but I’ve only just now noticed that the “40-year Macallan” All For One was talking about it probably referring to All Might having One For All for 40 years
Also I’ve been waiting to have Deku and Ochako’s conversation animated for a while, it’s a really good scene. Same goes for Toga and Dabi’s conversation

Honestly, that bit with Toga and Touya really moved me. Like, Touya saying he doesn’t feel anything anymore was a blatant lie on his part, otherwise he wouldn’t have tried to help her. There’s a sense of comradery among the villains that I can’t help but kinda respect
The fact that the league actually cares about each other is one of their most endearing qualities

As an AFO fan I love his entrance after Ayoama's fake betrayal and Monoma using Kurogiri's quirk was a big surprise as well! So much great stuff, love the reaction!!

Oh btw AFO didn't necessarily have to overcome the Doomsday Theory to use his quirk since the very nature of his quirk allows him to steal other quirks. If we're using the doctor's hardware theory, his body was born with the hardware/storage for extra quirks already, whereas Shigaraki, who was not born to have that quirk, didn't. Kinda similar to how Star couldn't copy All Might's strength since her quirk was inherently different from OFA, or how Monoma can copy quirks without the typical side effects of having multiple quirks. His and AFO's bodies are naturally adapted to house more quirks. At least, that's my understanding.
I love the stuff with the villains in this show. So let's get into some analysis. First off, Dabi and Toga. Toga goes back to her old house and sees that her parents have left. Her house is full of vandalism or harsh messages. And Touya comes in to check on her. Now, Touya usually just calls Toga crazy and moves on about his day. But this is the first time he calls her by her name. And he burns down the house that brought her so many bad memories. Now, Dabi says he doesn't care about the League. That's what he says. But in my opinion, his actions speak louder than his words. He had already given Toga Twice's blood before the scene in this episode. So in actuality, him going to check on her and getting rid of the place that caused her torment was SOLELY to make her feel better. Together, they're going to make that sad parade march again.
Now, moving onto another villain pair: Spinner and Tomura. An interesting thing to note is that Tomura's hand was supposed to have missing fingers because of his face with Redestro. And super regeneration doesn't heal wounds obtained prior to getting the quirk. So Shigaraki should still have the red skin from his decay at the end of S5 and shouldn't have all of his fingers. Yet after battling Star and the quirk doomsday theory, he suddenly has all of the fingers on his hand back and the skin on his arm isn't red anymore. Though he seems to be in agony. Spinner originally joined for Stain. But he saw how Tomura was empty. Just like him. He saw how hard Tomura fought. He saw how he chased his dream. And Spinner eventually began to like Shigaraki. To the point that he wanted to follow him not out of admiration for Stain. But because he wanted to be by Shigaraki's side. But right now AFO is sticking around. So Spinner has to hope his friend is still in there. He's doing this all to help Shigaraki. Anyone can be someone's hero.

This wasn't shown in the anime for some reason, but Shigaraki's left hand is the one missing fingers and half of the palm. In the anime they just show his hand already looking competely healed, but in the manga you could see that his hand is beginning to regenerate and grow out fingers, which shouldn't be possible, since he got Hyper-Regen *after* he lost his fingers. Which is what AFO is talking about - Shigaraki is overcoming Hyper-Regen's rapid evolution.

We can see a parallel to the start of the Kamino fight in this episode. This time, instead of the villains warping in reinforcements and the heroes being caught off guard, we see the heroes warp in reinforcements. We also see someone who can use other people's quirks coming to the rescue (AFO in Kamino, Monoma in this fight). Horikoshi really cooks with these final arcs and I think we have all learned by now to just trust the process.

"The Day has Come" 😭😭😭💚
Now I get the feeling that this episode will be attacked for its animation. But I thought it was fine. Nothing spectacular but if there’s a place to hold back the animation it’s during this preparation phase of the war. I standby this being the most rushed part of the entire story. And I don’t blame Horikoshi too much because of the manga being stuck if it was going to extend or not. And it was the 2nd big wave of threats sent at Horikoshi. (I’ll just continue to say don’t threaten creators. There’s no winners)
Toga’s dreams and home are just beyond disturbing. And I think this is when I officially started suspecting Toga and Monoma were related. (I was not correct) But it showed her family had run for it, Curious in season 5 told us she was the eldest of her siblings. And then I started to realize Monoma and Toga were NEVER on the same field together. And I started seeing their similarities in appearance, quirk, and a few mannerisms. And I just COMMITTED to it. Probably one of my least favorite theories I’ve done nowadays. I hyper-focused too hard on it. It prevented me from enjoying parts of the story. So I’m going to give Toga extra attention this time around.
Dabi setting ablaze the home and burying what both she and her family had left behind just to show that to her, that part of her life shouldn’t matter anymore. The world getting destroyed means there won’t be anything to return to. It’s her life now that matters. Her anger at the heroes over the death of Twice. And Dabi supplied her with the means to exact that revenge. We narrowly avoided the full force getting unleashed when Hawks killed Twice. And we likely even MORE narrowly avoided the quirk double being apart of the collection of AFS. A devastating weapon to go undetected considering the heroes were IMMENSELY wary of Twice and his quirk. Dabi once again playing the real long game. He had that on him waiting to give it to Toga at the right time in her emotional stability and got it to her when she returned from her fight with Uraraka. Probably would’ve been useless in the 1st war because she was going through her grief and interpretations on what Twice meant to her during it. Sometimes you just don’t know what you have til you lose it.
Seeing Shigaraki overcoming the quirk doomsday theory is super cool to me honestly. Garaki told us in the lab that people didn’t buy into his theory but then AFO came whole heartedly believing in it. Which tracks. There are few quirks LESS stable than OFA and AFO. Deku and All-Might made OFA stable long after it had any ability to, and now AFS is making a boosted AFO collection stable. And in this freaky body amalgamation that has Spinner just questioning is he looking at Shigaraki at all. It’s just beyond freaky.
Spinner is TRULY out of his depth. He wanted to exact Stain’s will in season 3, and he has slowly been guided away from everything he ever wanted, but still told he’s worshipped for the thought. And that thought will lead the riots. Every relationship he’s built is mangled. Shigaraki was his best friend he inspired and got inspired by into action. And he told the MLA himself he was nothing on his own. And now he’s getting entrusted with the will of an entire movement he feels he has no place in. And all he does is step forward not because of his own belief, but because there’s too much pushing him in this direction. And he can’t stop. But he’s clearly thoroughly disturbed.
The kids search for jailbreakers as they train and do what little they can to prepare. I THINK what Mineta is trying to ask Deku is does he want to get whatever rotten thoughts off his chest so he doesn’t carry it stacked up again. It is what caused his breakdown in the rogue arc so I give kudos to Mineta here. But all Deku wants is to talk to Uraraka and thank her. Not like his mind will be any less settled by the battle and he still carries the tremendous burden of being the biggest fighter. Even if he’s not at maximum strength just yet.
And the final plans for the 2nd war have arrived. It’s time to leave UA. No one gives Deku a hard time as he leaves even with there being more spies here. (Hard to get into my foot. But I guess AFO more doesn’t want his own resources used on the barrier.) And everyone says their goodbyes to their loved ones. And the people involved with the mob before all look concerned for their sakes. They are literally watching these 20 kids go out to fight literal oblivion. And doing it with a smile on their face no less. (Which is a great All-Might parallel. Except now people can see behind the smile. Or the circumstances surrounding it.)
The kids move into Troy (ah yes the most famously secure city. Fooled by a wooden horse and burned inside out.) And they can only settle among themselves and spend their last day hanging out together. Deku takes the time to thank Uraraka. She saved him more than ANYONE ELSE. She is HIS hero. And Deku lets loose grade A flirting to support her. And he even supports her thinking about Toga’s mindset and how she thinks. Even though she doesn’t want to. She’s committing to Deku’s philosophies as well thinking there might be something there. And I love when she wants to shut it out Deku says don’t. That’s a gut feeling because there MIGHT be something there. I’m walking up TO THE DEVIL and I’m going to reach through hatred that destroyed the country. And Uraraka says it well. We’re both weird.
AFO has one of the lowkey funniest interactions with the Aoyama’s. I remember in my denial of Nezu not being a villain I said what are the Aoyama’s going to do? CALL HIM ON HIS PHONE?! What do you do? Hello can I speak to the devil? It’s very important. And when AFO does EXACTLY that, even HE says, this is a stupid method. That cracks me up so much. Well at least we’re in agreement. But it does have nice lore to have an ancient lie detecting quirk.
And then we get ANOTHER chat with Aoyama. He’s out and about. I do like how he shows what kind of world AFO would make in charge. The recreation of the Great Depression where he’s the sole benefactor is a nice way to show not just he CAN take over the world but also in a way where it’s LITERALLY been done before. The monopolies of the era and the organized crime were all powerful back then. And the desperation only furthered their power. And AFO praises his stalling tactics and the accuracy of AFO’s ambitions.
Deku powers up and it sends a shockwave on THAT alone. We haven’t seen that since All-Might in season 2 just waltzing up to Bakugo and Deku in final exams. To a lesser extent but he’s KNOCKING on that door. I think on that alone I’ll say Deku is more likely at 75% than 60%. He needs the full 100 for AFO but every moment he fights he stockpiles and controls more. And he has a LOT of fighting to do. Aoyama betrays his betrayal BAFFLING AFO right as he warps every villain, Nomu, and resource he has to take on Deku. And Monoma warps in a bunch of heroes to overcome him. Last war was Infinity War. This time it’s Endgame.
I did think that the portal scene was a little lacking in the animation department, but the last thing I'd want is for all the good animation to be used to before the fights even start. Like when they gave Jeanist this crazy animation when he jumped out of the plane but not for when Deku and shiggy fought (for the most part).

@@TheCustodiansthat’s a fair take. I know that people just get VERY verbal about the animation in this series. And you brought up a great example when Deku awakened Float. It was an awkward noninvestment. And I think we talked about how weird flying, slingshotting, and the whole scope of the battle was weird.
I was hoping to get your input on my analysis in previous episodes too. I don’t think I’ve gotten any from you til today and I really enjoyed our chats last season.
Based on the preview it looks like they have a few of those moving slideshow scenes next episode BUT the battles themselves look fluid AF.

i really like uraraka/deku and shoto talk with his classmates as it show there growth as friends and as heroes with them willing to try save there respected villian and i know alot of people think they should be killed with no redemption but i think there are people like toga, dabi, spinner and shiggy that need to be helped and somebody with compassion to listern and help them reasure them that will be okay.
toga and dabi are going to get there own individual moments to shine this season and there going to get some emotional and badass moments
can we just talk about deku and afo suits
i honestly love the afo 3 piece suit and his slick new helmet which makes him look like sauron a bit
i honestly do love costume zeta design (or deku "endgame" suit as i have called it in the past) omages all his previous suits and show his evolution of being a hero
But i do think there too many colours in the suit which clashing with each other, but i hope when deku gets his future suit, there at least 4 colours on suit and the colours are distrbuited more evenily across the suit
i remember losing my shit at like 4 am when i saw the final leaked panel of ch 343 with the heroes coming out the panel then proceed to play the avenger theme, endgame portal theme and avenger emh for about 20 minutes

Note: the evil plan Aoyama mentioned might not be everything, since I remember All for One saying something like: "Great job explaining my plans Aoyama, but not entirely accurate though. Did your parents tell you that"?

Have the Castodians recognized that the guy next to Deatharms, with the 3 plus shaped flesh antennas, is the guy from episode 1 who encourages Deku to become a hero?
I know people always wanted Spinner to have a crazy power up since S5 and whatnot along with epic fighting prowess, but honestly I'm fine with him being the more regular guy in the villain group. I think it add to his characterization of being a social out cast and not seeing anything particular exceptional in himself thus why he became someone who initially wanted to follow someone else. So I think that's why in the first place he wasn't anything crazy to begin with for his power set as part of that point.
Now he is put in a leadership position in a way, though he seems to be stuck since he more so wanted to be with Shigaraki more so under him being free to reign. Well I'm just saying no matter what I'm just fine for Spinner to have some narrative significance whether he has some sort of crazy power up or not.

The Second War Arc has begun, sooner than the last one, i guess now we’ll just have to see how much of it this Season will cover.
By the way, around the time this happened in the Manga, I had a little of a Theory of my own about Himiko,
Basically, she had already gotten some Twice Blood herself before she went on a rampage without anyone knowing, so the Toga we see with the League now has just been a Clone the entire time, made to get the League off her back for awhile in order to give herself some time to get her thoughts/mind order before she feels ready to return,

It started when they were imagining what a spinner quirk awakening would look like, then they thought it could happen from AFO giving him extra quirks. It’s still mostly a meme and not a serious prediction
