  • Who else played a druid in their first ever RPG campaign?
In this week’s video, we are going back to my Pathfinder roots (pun intended) and we are making a tree druid staff.
This is an easy (and cheap!) project that makes an amazing addition to your costume box! The branch and moss were foraged from backyards, the optional stain was about $12 AUD (and is still mostly full), and the fabric is scraps from the other half of this project (part two coming next week!)
Have I spent the last week being very excited about this staff and walking around/posing with it whenever I could? Yes. Yes I have.
I’ve also hit it on just about every doorway that I have walked through so if you go for a super tall branch just be warned when bringing it inside…
This would also make a really cute and fun accessory for any ren fair. I know my old ren fest, the Arizona Renaissance festival, is coming up in February! Add to it the costume we are making in part 2 and you’ve got yourself a fancy faire ‘fit!

I like your staff. I found a partial limb that looks like a dragon's head. So that's how I am going to make it

I wish I could make a druid staff right now, but it snowed recently so I can't ;o; This was a lovely project - you did fantastic!!

I’m planning to cosplay a Druid for my local medieval fair, this will be fun.

Neat! Nice use of found materials. My only worry would be the moss drying out over time and flaking off, but it's stuck to the hot glue, so those parts should be permanent anyway.

Darn it, I typed this before I finished the video. Insert image of an overdramatic facepalm here. Your project is lovely, and I'm a little ridiculous.

Nice looking stick. I didn't know how that cloth would work on it, but I must say, it added a lot to the character and look. Good job.

I’m going around my backyard to find a branch my dad hasn’t mulched. In my pyjamas.

Doesn't painting and sanding the stick risk destroying its virtues?

What is the purpose of the cloth???
