If you have to run unc0ver when you restart the phone, it is just like my current setup. Reprovision/AltStore automatically signs unc0ver, so it essentially does the same thing as this new process. Thanks for reading.

i just found a method to sideload unc0ver with 3utools but that's just the semi-untethered jailbreak as always because of altstore is crashing and not working. hope there's a fix to make altstore work again
This isn’t really an error, but I’ve plugged in my iPhone XR to my laptop and done all the steps but when it comes to the ‘Finish Installing unc0ver?’ screen, I’ve been there for about an hour now, and no progress on the installation has even started yet. Any fix?
Edit: I pressed cancel, opened the installation again and it worked! Hope this helps for anyone else :)
If you get the error "vector too long" ... make sure to turn off real time protection in your windows settings.

Finally!!! It’s been ages since I’ve had a untethered iPhone.
After setting up fugu and clicking once again open placeholder to install it it crashes on a black screen and won’t open again... any fix...??
Edit: fixed just reboot the phone and try again ✌🏻
Thank you, a reboot did the trick, I had the exact same issue with fugu giving me blackscreens and then crashing after 10 seconds or so

That should force reboot your phone, hopefully...
On older iPhones you had to hold Power and Home for 15 seconds I believe.
If nothing works, you my have to reset your phone, unless someone else has ideas.
when i put the new uncover on my iphone 12.1.1 it wont go past 6 so i have to continue to use 5.3.1 well at least i can still jailbreak im waiting on jb for 14.6 so when are we gonna get it pllllls my poor phone is really thirsty for it haha lol

@@drapermikeu can’t update to 14.5 because the ios version is no more signed by apple. So the only solution for now is to do tethered jailbreak. But honestly tethered jailbreak sucks.

Are you able to use cellular? I am on 14.5.1 iPhone 12 Pro. Cant use cellular. I have to reboot and re-jailbreak everytime when switching from wifi to cellular

FOR EVERYONE GETTING UNSUPPORTED ERROR. You need to click previous versions underneath the blue button on uncover site. You need 7.0.2 for 14.5, the 8.0 version is for 14.6-14.8

Save yourself the bullshit all of these videos using uncover Don’t work and anyone saying they do are either paid to or were hacked and it’s bots saying this shit 💀 I tried it and it wanted me to do a bunch of surveys to get it to work.

For Windows users. Make sure you disabled Real Time Protection during all the process. I had to try 3 times until get it done. Windows sometimes enables automatically if you close the Security settings window.

@@Okay-er9zx from what I understand no? Unless it’s signed. Apple stops signing iOS versions after a while, and the only way to upgrade is to get shsh blobs when you’re on a signed version.

Fugu14 screen goes black when I open it, then it just reboots my phone but in a weird way or if not it crashes, is this why??
Everyone should keep in mind that this jailbreak build has some major bugs, the main one being not being able to receive iMessages.
edit: iMessage bug fixed with latest version of unc0ver.

Huh, that’s weird. I hail broke my iPad 8th generation on iOS 14.4 and my iMessage and other messaging apps work perfectly. I’ve also installed a lot of tweaks and jailbroke it yesterday so maybe it’s a bug on certain devices??

Dude same, just on my iPhone 11! I had a error where I had to plug in my phone to iTunes on my pc whenever I wanted to update. I don't know why but my auto updates have been glitched in my phone settings for like over a year and a half now and to be honest I just been lazy to hook up my phone to iTunes, just so happen to be on 14.4! So I'm super down with the untether!
@@pauljaysongarupa549 It's ok, maybe you forgot to deactivate the windows defender real time protection. Just turn it off while you're doing the process and it'll be just fine.
Did you even try? He said it works on iPhone 10 as the oldest.

When I try installing Fugu14 it does it but when AltStore takes me to Fugu14 it’s just pitch black there is nothing on the screen, then it just reboots but like it doesn’t show the Apple logo it just reboots and I check and I open AltStore it doesn’t tell me anything and I open Fugu14 but it just reboots again. I deleted fugu and uncover ipa and tried again but it just does the same thing, pls help I’m on iPhone 11
if you delete both apps Unc0ver and fugu, start the process again. If your phone reboots while opening the placeholder or on the fugu step. Open altstore and long press on uncover to open the app. see if this gets you to the next step. I was stuck there too and this worked for me.
@@Jbauuu I tried that I long pressed on uncover from AltStore I opened it and it took me to Fugu14 but it did the same think the screen was black and it just restarted, it didn’t work
@@UNK0WNACCOUNT it looks like you will have to keeep your phone connected to the mac or pc aswell. Mine would freeze or fail at this point. keeping it connected vs disconnecting worked.
I also have this problem but instead of the screen on fugu being black, it’s white. Then it crashes after 10 seconds, after I go on the app again it reboots my phone without the apple logo

This is currently not possible on some Windows devices. AltServer will spit out a "remove: The directory is not empty.:" error. They posted about it on their Twitter, just have to wait for an update on when they fix it.
I had this issue, I just closed the app and retried a few times. Eventually it installed properly, maybe just luck

for some odd reason when I’m in the jail broken stage I’m not able to receive any iMessages but when I reboot my device to not be in the jail broken stage I can receive my iMessages. Does this happen to anyone else ? Help please? I want to go back to the jail broken stage but i can’t receive iMessages 😩

We had a substitute app on uncover 13.5 as well- with the new substitute update a while back… did you ever find out if you can delete the regular “unc0ver” app? Since we have to use the “untether” one anyway? I just hid it for now.

@@hater8361 you have to still click jailbreak in Unc0ver after rebooting. Only difference is you don’t have to sign Unc0ver app after every 7 days , it’ll remain signed forever.

when jailbreaking on windows my iphone 12 pro max had to stay plugged in the system while installing through Alt Store bc when I plugged it an error occurred and it froze, so to finish the jailbreak I had to do everything all over and erase everything. This all happened after I downloaded a tweak...so watch out ppl.

I had the exact same issue. For all of those experiencing this, its most likely detected as a threat when installing uncover for the final time. when it is installing go to threats and virus protection(something like that) and it should be a pop up close to when the installation is done. MAKE sure you open the pop up and ALLOW the threat and then click start actions! (you may have to do t quick before the uncover install fails. After that is done install uncover again and it should complete! I hope this helps! let me know.
You may have to turn off real time protection on pc too.
How do I open the 7.0.1 version in 2024, it just lets me install older versions as a zip and doesn't let me open them in alt store

You should do it I have done it to all my iOS devices and ever since my first iPhone 3GS was my first jailbroken iPhone and ever since a normal iPhone is not the same. Do more search on jailbreaking and you will find out your self! It will be worth it
how long did it take you to install Unc0ver after the first reboot? mine feels like it's going nowhere

@@cosmicgaming2291 ended up just having to do that part of it plugged in to my computer, my phone couldn't reach altserver unplugged for some reason. I think it's because I have a Windows computer, not Mac

Everyone is getting who is using windows . Mac OS is working but windows is not . It’s an issue with AltServer and Sideloadly . They are working on it apparently.

this shit is not working in the slightest. alt store isnt even registering that I even installed icloud. I have everything backed up and its still telling me that it isn't working. i was getting the same message as i am on windows so i had to take off my pc protection plug my phone in and made sure they were on the same wifi. You also need altserver open on pc and your iphone aswell.
Just keep ur device plugged into your pc and you should be fine

I am running the updated untether on iPhone 12 Pro Max after having the old untether updated manually by deleting the apps after running restore rootfs (only had 1 tweak installed be in mind this gets rid of all tweaks for anyone who still needs to do this so make a back up!) everything is running smooth I’m on 14.4.1 had a bit of a scare thinking I needed to restore which you can no longer restore (14.4.1) as it’s not signed but I found out reinstalling AltStore 1.4.8 after removing untether it updated seem less

No errors or pop ups, I am pressing on install altstore, selecting my iphone's name, inputting my apple id details, pressing continue on the "already installed on another device" pop up and nothing happens after that. I noticed that in the device management pane in settings, i am able to trust the alt store app and the developer name is my icloud email address. tried trusting it but nothing happens still. Can anyone help please?

Help. Using an iPad 8, 14.4.1 I get AltStore get the unc0ver ipa, do the first thing where all the code shows up with a white background, then I do the loading thing on AltStore, then it tells me tog back on the fugu app but when I do, instead of seeing “install untether” I see just a white screen which eventually crashes after 10 seconds. I go on the app after it crashes and it reboots my device never jailbreaking it, what do I do?
Same here, I heard there is a bug if u install it with windows, AltStore will hopefully fix that.
uncover says its unsupported for me, IOS 14.4.1 on 12 pro max. is this device not supported?
