Even if you escape to HK from Cavite, by the time you reach HK, you would also experience a typhoon heading that way. So, yeah, overall, a not so good time to travel at all around Asia. All the best still, hoping you find your much needed alternatives for Story's birthday.
@@malougalang2564if typhoon kristine goes to vietnam guaranteed it will be raining just as hard in hong kong. kristine dumped more rain than ondoy did in 2009, and its diameter is quite hugh, encompassing luzon and visayas. HK is not that far from vietnam.
There are good times, and there are bad times. The good thing is there are alot more good times than the bad ones. Sometimes, people need to exercise the ability to deal with difficult situatuons. Keep safe you guys.
I agree. You're in Manila. It is very flood prone. You can easily get stranded somewhere. And worse, people have ended up camping at NAIA when flights get cancelled or delayed. Not a good place to be trapped at. :(
We live in Isabela. The typhoon came straight over us. Was quite intense, but not quite as bad as I thought it would be. We had one big tree knocked down in the garden and that was it. Lots of rain, but that was manageable. Overall, I think we were quite lucky compared to what I am seeing on TV/Internet. Just hope this next one which is a week or so away doesn't hit us too. Take care.
We are trying to help our people a couple states away from us here in the US… Appalachians were hit HARD by a inland Hurricane category 5/4 hitting landfall and rarely does it come up in the mountains like that it’s on RUclips it was so bad it closed the Appalachian trail … devastating! Wishing you guys all the luck with weather properties and travel!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It's evident you remained traumatised fro your experience of Odette. The only thing you can take comfort from if at all is you are with your extended family in Cavite even though is quite badly hit too. Wish you all the best. Take care.
Wow... I lived here in the Philippines most of my life. And even I with all the maybe 40 typhoons I have personally been through now, have not had the bad luck y'all have experienced with Odette and then now with Kristine. We sat through most of them unscathed. Except this last August when the waters did enter the house and damaged our furniture. But we never had any windows break or anything. It is unfortunately, a feature we have to live with here in the Philippines. On the other hand, you've all been very blessed with everything else. Finding the right island to live in with Siargao. Finding all the right people to be friends with... Finding all the good food. Finding a wonderfuly doggie... I guess it's just that, eh? Life is not perfect for even anyone whose life seemingly looks perfect. Do take care and stay dry!
Its Friday morning, no more rain and I saw the sun peep from the clouds. Hopefully everything's gonna be fine. Lets all stay positive. 👍 Stay safe guys, you'll be in HongKong soon. Praying that Kristine will not follow you there. 🙏
Please let go of this attachment to going to HK now. You are all together as a family supporting one another. That’s a great reason to celebrate Story’s birthday. She will remember these moments for a lifetime.
i can see Story has a lot of confidence in feeling safe by being around her parents. She does not appear as worried as her parents. She trusts her parents completely.
It’s like Typhoon Odette all over again?! Good thing Jay not screaming “POPPY!!” this time. We’ll make this vlog 1M views and no skipping ads…..add more subs $$$$$❤❤❤
It's an odd memory I have from the bombings in Britain during the 70s and 80s. The advise was to keep curtains closed as they held back glass fragments, net curtains were even better for this. I was a little put off when you left the curtains open in your bedroom . Take care one n all
14:38 FYI: There is no blood-sucker bat in the Philipppines. The bats here are either eating fruits (the big size bats) ... ...or eating small insects(mosquitos. flies, spider etc)-the small one like that
Me and my family here in Manila are still blessed, because our house is not big nor concrete, but we haven't experience a flood near our house. Keep safe and dry y'all, I'm praying for everyone's safety! 🙏❤️
yeah cavite got hit pretty bad. i just got home from helping with the bfp for water rescue stuff. I don't think i've ever seen it this bad since yolanda a few years ago. stay safe though cuz from what pagasa was explaining to us after debriefing is that the storm may return and hit us again. and theres one forming by guam right now. best to make sure to call any of the agencies you need to before traveling. cuz getting stuck in a flooded area is an experience i hope you you don't experience stay safe and God bless.
Probably would be nice to check the Weather Forecast ahead of time before going anywhere to be safe. But most of all Pray for there is always Power in Prayer because God is Real. May God's guidance and protection be with you all.
I thought Siargao was the best thing since sliced bread? Strange how the reality of life changes everything. If you want to live in the Philippines and have no weather problems, best live in BGC, Makati or Eastwood.
I hope you guys are safe. Jay, you can still try to fly to hongkong, just explain the situation to the immigration officer. If they let you, then good. If not, atleast you tried. You recorded everywhere as you're vlogging. And probably, they experience this situation more than in the main office.
Most of Luzon is shielded from winds by the Sierra Madre mountain ranges unlike Visayas and Mindanao. That said, there are a lot flood prone areas due to lack of drainage infrastructure
Thanks God for everything. You have safe refuge in Cavite. Just to others situation, those who don’t have good house and those who are struggling right now with other worst calamities in other provinces and other countries. And take care.
Living in the PH for almost 5 years, hope you start getting used to intense weather conditions. Its not only in the PH that this kind of situation, all over the world typhoons, earthquakes, cyclones etc. Anyway, hope you sort the immigration problems and finally enjoy HK. Stay safe.
Your in Ph theres a lot of typhoon going there cause of its location. Expect the unexpected. Just help the people there in your house instead of overthinking
That's the Philippine fruit bat (Luzon variety) that's found its way to granddad's garage and chilling through TS Kristine/Trami ü (We have them up here north of Quezon City as well. No worries, Story ü) If the under-the-gate street view was filmed last night, 24 Oct/Thursday), that was definitely more than just rain-the wind strenth was showing off waaay too much, stirring up treetops and slamming into windows. Reason for the power outage, for safety basically. You could see that by cables out on your street swaying. At the moment where we are (past 2pm), the sun was out briiefly but is overcast again, No rain however. Not looking good with Kristine/Trami, though as it seems to be making a detour from its path to Vietnam :/ Anyhow, it was forecast midyear that more sever rains/typhoons would be coming by this month (October), and PAGASA seems to be correct. Hope everything turns out fine for Sascha and Story's trip and for Jay's passport work.
Those new building construction with shorter roof eaves are not compatible with typhoon weather. We live in an older house with wide eaves and even if the windows have trouble closing all the way, we dont get water inside.
Its okay you cant scape this natural thing calamity..its everywhere of different types, all i can say is just be safe.the more you will be in danger if you take the flight with this very bad weather
Being hit by a flood is the worst and the most dangerous during typhoon . So long as the house is sturdy especially the roofing, the place is elevated. The trees is a factor too...
actually, there is no safe place nowadays. you have listen to your guts where you can find peace. if you think HK is haven the lion is there. if you think UK is haven then the tiger is there, if you think US is haven then the bear is there. there is no safe haven to escape.
Just go to Cebu or Manila or Makati , BGC where you can rent a room on the 4th or 5th floor (or higher) of their state of the art buildings...I think it's harder and more expensive to go abroad ( unless you won't go back to Siargao anymore🌈🙏
Even other travel vloggers' airplane trips are stopped at the airport because of this weather. Theres no problem if your area doesnt get flood. If the typhoon is stronger it will travel faster so just chill and listen music to your headphone. 🎧 🎶
The typhoon is passing central North of Luzon,, but once it past from Luzon, it won't hit straight in Hongkong. Will pass thru west Philippines Sea, then turn left heading to Vietnam.
I doubt you will read this, as most RUclipsrs don't read comments on their videos. Anyhoo, here goes. I assume the HMPO lost your passport because you were undertaking a standard passport renewal and you were requested to send your 'old' passport back to Liverpool with your supporting docs to renew your British passport, correct? If you are in the Philippines and you have an ACR-I card, it *IS* a requirement to have have a valid passport and the ACR together at all times and both can be requested on demand, although almost this is never enforced. However, the HMPO regognise this and the Philippines is one of the countries when renewing an UK passport from overseas it is not a requirement to return ones 'old' passport to Blighty and colour photocopies of all the pages is sufficient to be sent as part of supporting documents for a renewal as long as it is noterised by VFS. I know it is too late for you, but perhaps your family may benefit from this in the future in the event that a passport renewal is required any tume soon. Also, when one renews a passport and the 'last' entry stamp is in ones old passport you have to go to either the principal BoI in either Cebu or Manila (the field offices/island can't facilitate this) with both passports to get the entry stamp transferred from the old passport to the new one, there is a bit of photocopying to be done but after a hour it is done and dusted. Hopefully you read you read this and also get everything sorted and can enjoy your holiday in HK. Best Wishes from a British expat, from Lincoln.
the typhoon is following you, coz Siargao was not much affected by it. Shout out to Gov Villafuerte and Yassi who enjoyed their vacation there. lol jk.
Can't make up my mind is the exaggeration is intentional or just because they are frightened. The winds in Manila and Cavite peaked at a sustained speed of 60kph with some faster gusts nothing like the 90kph that they claimed. The only issue to deal with in greater Manila is the flooding.
Say what! The local authorities didn't drop everything and rush immediately to a couple of foreign youtubers to evacuate them? A human rights violation for sure but fear not just go to your embassy and tell them about your hardships. Meanwhile locals will be left homeless but oh well.
Stay safe guys, your house there is more safer than the other area in Cavite. Some parts of Luzon is devastated by typhoon Kristine like Bicol region and Batangas.
storms are getting worst back in the day if its just a tropical storm or even a severe tropical storm it would only be a small system it passed you in hours but this one took her time 3 days and it brought a lot of water. The future really scares me
Unfortunately,But timing to go to cavite or tagaytay due to typhoon..you could have postphone trip til next wk..no storm in siargao at this time, its much safer to stay their.
It must be really scary going through typhoon, but you’re nothing special. Everyone there must be feeling uneasy and scared as well. You’re whining as usual, when you should be thankful that you’re safe compared to other people there. I saw in the news that people’s home were underwater and some were carried away by the currents . Even in the street where you are right now, some of your neighbors’ home must be flooded. You should hope and pray for the people around you that they maybe okay as you are during this scary moments, instead of being so selfish and complaining about not making it to Hong Kong .

Resilience. That is one of the greatest things the philippines has taught you but always remember that there is always a rainbow after the rain 🌈

We were able to fly back home yesterday from Manila, did have a 2.5hr delay, but they didn't cancel the flights, thankfully.
I am soo sorry for having another experience like this. Be safe!!!🙏🙏🙏

Guys stay there for a while the typhoon is likely headed back when another lower pressure area coming

the typhoon is going in the direction of hongkong.. why push thru? go to Bali instead..
Lol we loved that kind of weather in the Philippines. We used to drink all night when theres a storm because no school the next day🤣
There will be no flight so don't get to hesitant of leaving the next day after thypoon. That's the real life when you are living in Philippines.

Stay safe guys, take care of our lovely Story 😘 😊
Bro Kristine it's turning again in Philippines
I just received news from my niece who lives in Cavite. The flood is worse than Siargao.
You should have stayed in Resorts World where the airport is near walking distance using the Runway.
The typhoon is passing central North of Luzon,, but once it past from Luzon, it won't hit straight in Hongkong. Will pass thru west Philippines Sea, then turn left heading to Vietnam.
Stay in Cavite. Dont let your family fly to Hong Kong.
Let them be!
Keep safe
I can hear the whining sound of stormy wind in your place.😮
stay safe!bye..

Typhoon Kristine landfall in bicol region at some part of luzon area.
In Ayala and BGC there's no flood
🙏y’all stay safe ❤
I think not having a passport at this time its a good. It’s a sign to stay put until the typhoon leaves Asia

Take good care there. Now, there is another typhoon forming in Mindanao..
The typhoon will also go to Hongkong 😮
Well Philippines might not be you country want to live if every typhoon makes you more panicky because Thyphoon is best friend of Philippines.😂❤️
