You create some of the most beautiful cards! I love watching you create and always find inspiration from your videos. Thank you so much for all your work to share your work with us. You're an amazing person! ❤❤❤
Absolutely love the way you did the embossing and the detail of the cards. I am really impressed how you made the cards turn out so beautifully with a few adjustments of the edges.Love how you created two beautiful cards with same technique yet-different at the end .
I love your card as always. Thank you for posting regularly. Your posts boost my spirits after watching where I grew up burn down. I so look forward to see what you create or have going on in your life across the pond.
You made laugh again! Your comment on watching your old videos and being impressed by yourself. That same thing happened to me at work. I’m a chemical engineer and was going through some old files looking for some information and came across documentation of some calculations I had done years ago and also impressed my self. LOL!
Just watched your video, you made me laugh when you said if you hadn't been you, you would have subscribed as they were good and you surprised yourself. That's why we watch you, as your videos are so good, you explain what you're doing and what you use in great detail. Thank you once again Christine. 😊❤
The two finished cards both look great Chrissie, and the gilding flakes work beautifully added to the piece of card before dry embossing it with that very pretty folder, and the coloured leaves with the added gold outline and with the gold sentiment go together beautifully, and then the strip of white embossed card with the two leaf layers used separately over the top and then a white sentiment is very elegant on the other. It just shows that using the same things but with a plainer look and then the more opulent gilding and alcohol inked leaves with the gold can make the feel of the card totally different. x
Wow! Both cards are so pretty, yet different too! I absolutely love the idea of chopping those gorgeous embossed panels down, with the addition of the border edging as that really sets them off. I'm going to have to experiment with what I have here to see what would work in that manner. When I first bought my dye cutting machine a few years back (yes, a Spellbinder machine too, as I wanted the extra width), I bought several of those larger design types of 3-D folders. It was only after I got them, I realized they were intended for 5"x7" or larger cards; which I had not intended to make! As I'm currently doing a de-stash, I'm going to look for those again and if they do not lend themselves to being chopped down; they're going in the donate box! They are lovely, of course, but not to my taste. So, if I'd never use them, they've got to go.
😅love what you did especially with the coloured one, I just have to get my mica and alcohol and inks out to play with and give myself a good talking to about using my gilding flakes, bought a jewel one..... all sorts of colours and haven't even opened it yet. Wonder how many of us have done that!
Fascinating to see how essentially the same materials have such contrasting results. Love the thinking aloud, the chopping and changing that results in two beautiful cards. Thank you.
Your videos are always very enjoyable! Both cards are beautiful! ❤ It's always interesting how the same elements look so different on each card. The embossing looks like knitting from a sweater.
BOTH cards are beautiful! Your reward for persevering. 😊 I hate the mess, but the look of gilding flakes is so special that it's worth it. If that embossed panel were cut down to a single strip, it would resemble a rope and could be used on a nautical themed card. It's definitely a versatile folder! Thank you for another great video! 🩷
You got there in the end. I like them both but probably like the shiny one most. Lots of different techniques involved. I'd never thought about using mica powder as a base for alcohol inks. What a great idea.
Of course both cards are pretty on their own and it's a matter of preference, but I like the "White on White" better. Your ability to change the look with a little color and a little extra work is truly a creative talent. Thanks.. 😲
I love watching your videos, you seem so down to earth like we could could chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Just wanted to mention that to clean the tiny imbedded paper fibers out of my Magic Matt I just submerge it in boiling water and allow it to cool, then lightly scrub with a tooth brush and rinse. Looks and performs like new!
Lovely cards Christine 😍 I have using my new Gemini Jr so I am only really getting to grips with embossing folders so I need some practice of using them so Thankyou this was very helpful 🤗 I got a gold envelope on one of my Christmas cards so did some die cut flowers and when I colored them with an alcohol marker the shine on them was outstanding ! and gorgeous so im going to see if I can get some of those envelopes 😁
I think you were exactly right on what worked, and what didn’t. I think that putting the gold outline on the alcohol ink background simply transformed the second card beautifully.
LOL. RUclips allows you to be your own biggest fan. Fits in perfectly with speaking in the third person. 😅😂. I had to write my bio for a Gallery, and my grand daughter read it. She was very impressed that someone said all those nice things about me. LOL. Loved the cards Scoring the edges gives such a nice finish. I must try the alcohol/ mica/ink method. Love the look. Thanks for Sharing.
I always learn something new from your videos. Alleviating the cut lines by running a ball point over them is a great idea! I don't like the stark cut lines either
Thank you for the tip on using mica in rubbing alcohol. I have several bottles of alcohol ink that I need to be using and this will work nicely. Stunning cards!
I’m an old woman and there is so much to learn that I listen to almost everything at x2 speed. Even then I don’t have time to hear everything I’d like to!
@ Many years ago I moved from Oklahoma to Ohio. I had to continually ask people to repeat themselves because Ohioans talked so fast I had difficulty understanding them. I’ve trained myself to hear and understand faster. I’d listen faster if RUclips offered it!
Great watching the thought process. How different both cards are with the same materials Thanks as always Christine. I prefer the smaller size myself. Not into big cards.
Absolutely love watching your techniques with different craft items. I didn’t know you could add mica to alcohol so it would help with the alcohol inks. I had some alcohol inks last year with some alcohol and also blending solution and not used them yet! 😮 Please could you create some more with alcohol inks and things we can try with them. Loved the cards by the way😊
Love ❤️ love ❤️ these they are gorgeous!!!! Plus great tip for adding glue with that tool but i didn’t here what it is called can you say the name of the again? 🌹❤️💯
Hello Christine.
Would love to see a technique show each week. You have wonderful ways to do things just like you mica and gin (lol) technique. Gin easier to spell. Lol
Christine, you always bring a ray of sunshine to my day!! Your card is beautiful!!
Wow, thank you!😊😊😊
So very cool! I would have never thought of using gilding flakes and then embossing it! Brilliant! Both cards are fabulous!❤❤❤
It's a great deal of fun Peggy❤️❤️❤️

I was surprised that I couldn't just add colour and do the same design... It was amazing the difference that it made.🙂
I love your card as always. Thank you for posting regularly. Your posts boost my spirits after watching where I grew up burn down. I so look forward to see what you create or have going on in your life across the pond.
You are so welcome. I can understand your sorrow at the devastation in Ca, so many people losing everything. You stay safe.❤️
They are both lovely. Amazing embossing folder.
Thanks so much! 😊

It's really reassuring isn't it! 😊😊😊
Thanks so much, looking back, I wonder if I'm slowing up a little!🤔
NOT AT ALL! Look at how much your videography and editing has improved! You continue to learn new skills. Very impressive.

Now you know why we subscribed to your channel! Beautiful cards. Love what you do with gilding flakes.
I think gilding flakes are amazing, I have a whole rack full of them, I should use them more!🙂 Thanks for your kind words.
Two cards today - bonus for your fans:-). Love both of these. I ordered the smaller embossing folder after watching your earlier video.
That's a fab one!😊

Thank you so much! It's a great folder isn't it!❤️ It's always good to like something that you haven't actually chosen.
At last someone who is making cards the same size as I do 😁 I like the space it gives you to be creative ...thank you for the inspiration

Absolutely, it's the heat which sorts the Magic mat, you can do it in your craft room without water! A heat tool and a wet wipe can also do the trick!
Oh my did I laugh when "not gin" popped up on the screen! Well done and very interesting as always. Happy New Year Chris.
To you too Viki, stay warm.😊❤️

Lovely cards! I think I have those Memory Box dies but haven't used them. What is the benefit of mixing mica with isopropyl alcohol instead of water?
The alcohol inks seem to diffuse over it rather than sinking into the card.
Thank you 😊@@Chrissieannie
Nice use of alcohol inks…great..thanks

Lovely cards, Chrissie! I am a sucker for a bit of shine, so the gold one is especially lovely. ❤❤
