Welcome back to Stu’s Reviews! Today I take a look at the Nebula portable projector range by Anker, focusing on the new Nebula Capsule 3 and the new Nebula Mars 3 Air portable projectors. We will take a look at the picture and sound quality of the Nebula portable projectors, and test the maximum size that these can project at to see how well they perform in both light situations and in dark environments.

The good thing about the Nebula Mars 3 projector is that it is a Netflix certified projector.

Hello, thank you very much for the good review. Unfortunately, one very interesting point is not addressed: The projector has Bluetooth capability, and you can also use it as a Bluetooth speaker. However, is there a way to output the audio when playing videos via Bluetooth to an external Bluetooth speaker? Thank you in advance, I would appreciate an honest answer.
Got to be a mix of sweet and salty, though given the choice I would go for a certain brand of toffee popcorn...mmm.
I'd be interested in something you didn't cover in the video and that's the noise coming from the projectors, especially the larger unit.

A lot of people have mentioned that they wanted to hear that... noted for next time 📝. All i would say is that they are as quiet as to not to stand out enough for me to make notes about it 😂
Although quick additional notes - the C3 is a little quieter, but then the brightness is half of the M3A, so its a trade off... but with that said, both are pretty good with their fan levels!

Salted caramel- good choice! And you could always look at the older capsule, which is currently only £269 on Amazon (amzn.to/3uOVNXX)… of course, not quite as good as the newer ones, but still respectable! (Oh and not Netflix certified as far as I’m aware). Merry festivities to you too!
Hey Stu, great video, it has sparked an interest in one of these projectors to have with me in my camper van. Just one quick question, i have heard the screen you use can have quite an inpact on video quality; with that said can you recommend a portable screen, thats cost effective to compliment this range please? Many thanks in advance. Pete.
Cheers Pete - what sort of size are you looking for? Something inside or out of the van? Most really portable screens won’t have the highest level of reflectivity, but they won’t be bad by any stretch. We’ve used some really budget ones like these before, and they’ve been fine; amzn.to/3uUTEdw (haven’t used that particular one, just something similar)
Some of the highest rated ones as well will set you back a small fortune… easily double/triple the cost of one of these projectors, at which point you might as well have just bought an even more powerful model to compensate for lower reflectivity screens!

Great video I appreciate your work and was wondering if both of them except a power bank to extend your viewing experience ? I'm leaning towards purchasing the Mars 3
The Capsule 3 is the only that allows power bank power via USB-C. Unfortunately the Mars 3 Air uses a proprietary charger with no USB-C input.
assume theydon’t have physical keystone or optical zoom/lens shift so you’ll lose quality with digital keystone (as cool as that is) - so you’re be advised to try and get it square on if possible?
Big fan, first comment as looking at he market just now. What about the noise of the fans? Main reason I have not opted for a projector so far. (Salted popcorn by far the best!)
Haha someone else mentioned this - I didn’t even think to cover this, as the noise from the fans was comparatively low to some I’ve tested. If you want quieter, the capsule 3 runs much quieter (but the trade off is it’s half as bright as the mars 3 air, so it’s a finding that balance)!
I looked at one of these for my dining room to mancave conversion, but ultimately bought a 50inch Ambilight TV as the dimensions of the room meant that I’d likely only be able to project an image of that size anyway

I was ready to pull the trigger on the mars air but that big goofy power cord changed my mind.
Popcorn always with a touch of salt, there is nothing better.Impressive video, impressive you, everything great, informative, funny, it has helped me a lot to know if I should buy a video projector or not.
I tested one a portable projector (xgimi) and these things are great. But most of the people probably need a stationary beamer.
the screen blowing away is just that 4D projection technology they didnt tell you about. im a regular triple butter and some salt or a smokey bbq spice mix

200 ANSI? Did they downgrade over the summer? The Capsule 3 I purchased back in April was 300 ANSI, and laser, so brighter than your traditional LED.
Sidegrade! It’s about £250 cheaper than the laser version, so it’s going to have some corners cut… just makes that same cylindrical portability more accessible… if anything this is the 1080p upgrade to the capsule max

Can I still own a projector if I don't like popcorn?
No. Its a 100% legal requirement and you'll be sent to jail otherwise. Each bag of popcorn comes with a 1 week projector licence.
The mars 3 air charge port is way of centre, cable goes in at an angle. Returned mine for that reason.
Is that a problem?
@@dimav975 Probably not for a while at least, I contacted Nebula with photos before returning it they told me it definitely shouldn't be that way, so I'd rather not take the risk. Maybe I just got a defective one.

What is life expectancy from these products regarding software and hardware ?
Hard to say - the capsule 1 was released in 2017, and that’s still sold on Amazon today.
Stu do you think I could watch the Super Bowl game on it? Is it strictly for streaming services only?
You can hook up HDMI device to this to run the display, so quite possibly, but we don’t have Super Bowl here in the UK so I wouldn’t know for sure!
So I should be able to play video games and use my laptop?? I’m not that savvy. I could mirror them. Geez.

Yes you can mount it upside down. Also option for rear projection as well. 👍

I love kettle corn, but for watching movies it's overly buttery overly salty standard popcorn for me. And the projects are neatorific. Makes me wish I needed one for some reason so I could justify buying it.
