Yes, I gagged a little myself. Society's notion that marriage is necessary for a fulfilling life is simply untrue, I think men and women tend to be happier when they are not restricted by being tied to another person, it's essentially stripping both individuals of their personal time and money, best for everyone to love themselves as much as possible. btw I am right-leaning, and would vote for DeSantis in 2024, but seriously that kind of thing really disconcerts me

Back in the days of "how will we possibly survive this Trump era?" my Sister, Sandy told me she watched Seth's "Closer Look" every night - to keep perspective - and keep from going bat-sh*t crazy.
She encouraged me to do the same. Sandy would be 80 yrs old now. I miss her a lot ! She was my favorite political friend - helped keep me sane. I shared back the wonderful Videos created by Randy Rainbow - my favorite remains "Sedition". His videos also helped keep me going during the Covid lock-down period.

I strongly suspect the Supreme Court overturning Roe had a huge effect on the outcome. I'd like to believe that a large percentage of the voters made the choice for democracy as well (sadly, far too many people voted for fascism, which is truly mind-boggling).

Hate is good. If you don't hate fascists, you are one. Ask Karl Popper. While you're at it, look up why "tone-policing" is inherently an admission that you can't address the points under discussion, or MLK's thoughts on pearl-clutching "white moderates" (hint: not a fan).
It's the reasons for hate that are the differentiating factor. Hating someone for choosing to attempt to murder those different from themselves? Very good; in fact, you'd be a monster to do otherwise (again, ask Popper). Hating someone because they were born with the "wrong" skin or sexuality or gender identity or ethnicity, according to your deliberately-ignorant self-serving bigotry? That's demonstrably a hugely anti-social and destructive choice. Hate for chosen bad actions = good, hate for arbitrary in-born characteristics = bad. This is not complex.
These are not opinions. This is history. It's horrifying that we seem intent on never learning these truths, even when we paid for the lessons with oceans of blood and pain (or, more accurately, mostly *someone else's* blood and pain).

Mike Lindell’s live election coverage was by far the most amusing and luckily I caught the last few hours of it. Pillow’s hair catching fire in live time was hilarious. Some of the team got up and left. Watching them explain the losses was a master class in delusion.
