    I have seen a ton of videos on the internet for BS 180 and none of them have this progression tree. It is really helpful.

    Great video, Brandon! I need to hire you to come coach a couple of us over here in St Pete sometime soon. We’re mid-30’s with a few basic spins and inverts. I really want a few more tricks in the arsenal before that ship sails away from us lol

      Haha, you got this! Just go slow! When in doubt, over rotate and slip out over your heels to get your confidence up. 🤘🏼

    I've been trying bs 180s just outside the wake on flat, and I feel like the tension from the rope on my arm wrapped around my back forces me to spin back around immediately. I see some wakeboarders ride pretty easily in that position though. Any tips?

    • @WakeCoaches
      @WakeCoaches  2 года назад

      Yes! I mentioned this in the video briefly. But that issue is super common. You’re leaning way too hard. Less lean against the rope, and more twist of the board. That’ll make it feel “easier” because the line tension is trying to untwist you aggressively right now. Play with the drills in this video at slow speeds and focus on leaning less.

      A lot of practice. I learned by power sliding into that position and just riding around in it a lot. It’s really not that bad just takes getting used to. You prolly need to pin the handle tighter on your hip too if it’s pulling you back around…. And you are likely creating too much line tension or leaning on the rope too much.

      @@sweatyzeusgaming Yes on all of the above except pinning the handle tighter to your hip. This is more of a body position problem than it is a handle position problem. If the lean is correct and the body position is correct, you can completely relax and the handle will remain in the correct position.

    Great channel man… I expected you to have 100k subs… this is very similar to how I learned my first 360s switch and toe side. Shortening the rope definitely makes it less intimidating, my problem is when I’m on a super short rope like this the line tension always seems to be much more ramped up making it harder to pass the handle.

      Thanks! I used to run the instruction on LearnWake and went out on my own a few years ago. Creating content is expensive and time consuming! We hope to continue to grow the content as our business grows! Thanks for the support! As for those short line tricks - it's true that the line tension is higher! One way to combat that is to have the driver turn toward your landing slightly after you takeoff. Hope that helps! Thanks again for the kind words!
