I feel like "Of course not it's the Marlins" would be an often relevant t-shirt
This is my favorite baseball channel. Love the simple, deep, objective breakdown.
I dont know how deep this trade goes, but its got MASSIVE amount of players involved. 4 team trade in 2004 between the Redsox, Cubs, Expos and Twins. Nomar Garciaparra trade.
Had Fernandez not died, I have to think they would have delayed this significantly. They were really close to being a World Series contender
Yeah, the teams only weakness is really pitching
They were taking trade offers for him when he died. Sadly, I think had he lived, he'd have also been part of this fire sale.
@@TheNotoriousJP definitely, marlins mo
It's insane that out of all of the names that the Marlins didn't flip the one that they did was Zac Gallen, the Diamondback's ace and one of the best pitchers in the league. Never change Marlins, never change.
What about Jazz?
@@Xd1981xd Jazz isn’t as good as Gallen
Throughout 2014 and 2015 the Phillies tore down the core that had won 102 games in 2011, and been to 2 world series in 2008 and 2009. While not as spectacular as the Marlins tear down, it might make for a good video because the Phillies got basically nothing of value causing our "rebuild" to last the better part of a decade.
Utley, Rollins, and Victorino really weren’t good after they left. And we actually got good stuff from the Hamels trade
Great video man. Love this channel. Hope to see more soon!
You should examine the Braves and Padres trade in 2015. Braves sent Craig Kimbrel and BJ Upton to the Padres for Matt Wisler, Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin and a draft pick (that ended up being Austin Riley). Lots of subsequent deals happened after this initial trade as well.
i can't believe jolly olive didn't give an s/o to you for inspiring his video. just know, we noticed
One interesting trade tree is the Indians/Braves Kenny Lofton for David Justice. It leads all the way to Corey Kluber believe it or not.
can you cover the Reds firesale in 2021-2022?
I foresee you doing a video on the 2024 marlins in your future
Can the Stanton one be a lose-lose too? Trading your best player, after his best ever season, in which he won MVP, while he's under contract, and getting nothing long-term in exchange for their MVP winner is 100% a loss to me. He might've not lived up to his contract, but the Marlins didn't trade him because they thought he wouldn't be good, they traded him because he was owed money they didn't feel like spending. That will always be a loss to me.
Nice video👍
Fun fact Monte Harrison is now a college football player
I'm a Cardinals fan and I hate their trades so much. All they do is give up insane talent
Jt requested the trade and said he would hold out until he was traded.
Trade tree idea. Nick swisher to the White Sox trade trade. This trade tree includes players on the A's 16 YEARS after the trade and is up there as one of the most lopsided trades I've ever seen.
1997 marlin firesale. Maybe the 2012-14 Phillies trading victorino, and Rollins and utley trades, even though it over a period of 3 seasons.
I also have an idea for you. Lopsided trades, ect Carlton for wise, pippa/ Robinson. Bag well for Anderson
Could you do the cole Hamels trade tree?
Love this video!
orioles 2018 firesale at the deadline is fascinating because of just how bad it was. o's traded for a ton of players and barely any of them even made the majors. final middle finger Dan Duquette gave to the organization, wasting a chance to help the future he had destroyed over his tenure.
Such a shame. This team had so much potential.
Yo Z,
I got a trade tree you can really sink your teeth into.
3 team trade between; the Mariners, Indians, and Mets.
December 11th 2008.
Have fun big guy.
I want to see the 2012 blue jays marlins trade
After Jose Fernandez passed the Marlins had no chance
Lamba
The only one they should of kept was yelich.
What’s with the Yankees hat
In no way did the marlins will the trade with the Yankees 😂😂😂
2018 orioles
Marlins of 2024 going to be the worst team in history
