Thank you 🙏🙌 yeah it has been working as it should. Not sure if the thermostat on the sandwich plate opens exactly at the temp they say it does it overall it controls the temp of the engine oil
Man, for sure your install was much easier than mines. I got the Perrin oil cooler kit from subispeed and when installing you had to bypass the anti-freeze connection. When doing so I noticed that on hot days I cant use my AC because it start to overheat my car but if I dont use the AC I have no issues. Well in your case after the install hows your car doing in hot weather with the AC on any issues? Also the one I was super fragil it wasnt worth the 700 bucks I spend on it. After looking at your video it feels like its the next course of action for me. Hey thanks for the video I noticed that no one has a video on our type of STI model it was getting annoying.
Man that sucks, yeah I was going to go with the Perrin as well but their system gets rid of the OEM oil cooler which I personally think is a bad thing as well as makes installation even harder to deal with coolant. The OEM oil cooler helps heat up the oil much quicker and become much more efficient with the oil cooler heat exchanger helping it as well; which is why I decided to go with the Mishimoto. My oil cooler works perfectly, especially in the 100+°F with my AC on full blast. Oil temps never go above 200°F if there sufficient air flow to the front of the car and generally oil temps start to drop when the car is moving; but stays at the correct temp due to the integrated thermostat. Yeah prior to installing this nobody had any video for this kit for the 2015+ which was very frustrating but I combined Mishimoto’s 2008 STI video and Subispeed’s 2015 WRX video to help aid with the install. I would definitely recommend the Mishimoto kit from my own personal experience with running it for almost 5K miles but I’m sure it would be tedious and time consuming to replace the Perrin kit. Hope your able to resolve your issue, messing with any coolant with the Perrin kit was what strayed be away from it 👍
Hi, do you experience any oil pressure issue on this oil cooler, I heard a lot like after market oil cooler will cause oil pressure issues when you WOT around 5000 to 6000 rpm. oil pressure only like 40 to 50 psi which is around 10 psi to the lowest requirement
Oil pressure is the same as without an oil cooler. +/- 5 psi. If your oil pressure is that low at WOT you have other issues. These oil cooler kits have minimal pressure loss
@@4enthusiasts cool, I will consider Mishimoto in the future if I have an rheat issue on track, I do have a koyo radiator and it is fine this season with like 70% of my max driving on track, I plan to push a little harder next season so considering this oil cooler, by the way, I see you have a competition oil pan from IAG, what do you think those viton flaps in it, do you think they will fall off during a long time ownership, trying to make a choice between IAG and killerB
Either oil pan works great. Killer AB’s new Super G oil pan has Viton flaps in them. For the oil cooler, i would buy a 200°F thermostat and not use the included 185°F thermostat
Good work mate.....hope it's all working fine

Man it was intense watching you remove the the plug from the oil pan.
😂 happens to me every time I do it; got it down now to where I don’t spill anymore

I see Mazda filter? How long u been doing that?
Since I got the car
Any leaks since the install? Thinking about getting this same setup~ Thanks
No leaks at all, oil pressure is the same as stock 👍

U don't remove the oem oil cooler?
No need to. This keeps the factory oil to water cooler. Helps oil come up to temp and quicker
walmart will take used oil, got to sign when you drop it off
