Awesome project. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the kitchen build and final install. A kitchen of that quality is a very rare item in NZ. They are lucky they found you for the job!
Man what a fantastic job, it looks great, i am envious of how easy you make things look, looking forward to seeing the rest of the build many thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow, as always, fantastic craftsmanship and design. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build. Thank you for these videos, they are a must see. 👍🏻
Joey, great island. I really liked how and why you used the various hand planes to flatten the top (educational for me). Beautiful piece, looking forward to seeing more of this build!!
Looks really good. I'm in the designing process of mine but Im going with walnut plywood for the carcass to get the grain and color consistency. That stained pine would drive me crazy. I'm also doing solid wood drawers with half-blind dovetails. Your vid was a good inspiration. Best island I've seen so far.
Beautiful! Joey I’ve watched all you’re stuff IMO this is the most impressive work so far. That is some beautiful walnut. I am SO jealous of the Hammer........
Amazing work as always Joey, if that's the island I can imagine how great all the fittings will look when it's completed. Looking forward to that overview. Wish I was living nearby man, pleasure to watch you work..
Love that you scraped the top. Sandpaper will never offer the clarity of of a planed or scraped finish. I scrape whenever possible! Some time I intend to grab a lie-Nielsen scraper plane and up that a little more.
You have done some amazing stuff in the past Joey, but I think this is the best yet. I particularly like the way you have done the skirting. And don't bother going to the Gym for a week, I think you got it all in flattening the top. Man is that a big kitchen if this is only part of it.
Hi there, love the island! I wonder if you have any photos of the finished kitchen? We're looking to do a walnut island and I'm looking for some inspiration photos! Thanks!
Absolutely stunning work. I am a bit surprised that with all attention to detail and just over the top woodworking that you used Minwax poly. I expected some spray on laquer or nitro cellulose. I love the look and you did a top notch job. Just wonder how long Minwax will hold up. That being said I noticed you can take it apart fairly easily so if it is homeless I could make room in my kitchen. That is the kind of guy I am. Always looking out for others.
It looks great. I like walnut wood. Here is expensive but pretty. I do not want to be picky, but why you do not flip over every second board? This is a basic error in woodworking. I can see it several times in the movie, eg at 15:01. Regards.
I never realized how big your shop was. The layout looks great!
Awesome job! Walnut is my absolute favorite hardwood and you did it proud!
Awesome project. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the kitchen build and final install. A kitchen of that quality is a very rare item in NZ. They are lucky they found you for the job!

I wish you had showed us how to set up the router for the different passes to get the skirting/moulding@6:39. Many thanks for the great videos.

Cheers , mainly its going in a very big open concept room

Nice work, but. Is gluing the panels into the frame (5:20) the best idea?
Good job my friend
