I think that's what annoys me the most about Trump supporters. They just don't live in reality anymore. The unemployment rate was 4.6 when Trump was elected. It is now 3.9. Almost to a tee going down at the same rate pre election. I think the tax break while it gave a little boost, is going to hurt us in the long run. Sometime next year we're going to start seeing a major downturn due to Tariffs and the deficit skyrocketing (Obama actually reduced the deficit by about half). Numbers don't lie. The stock market *is* experiencing a boom. This *is not* the same as 'the economy is booming'. At the moment many over-extended, middle-class people are investing in the stock market, hoping to win big and clear their debts. When the time is right, and many have put their savings into the market there will be another financial crash and again, the wealthy will syphon a shitload of money out of the economy, and the middle-class will shrink, again.
When the stock market booms, CEO's and hedge fund managers get massive pay rises and cash bonuses or stock options, they don't invest in jobs for working people or build factories. Why would they? US workers cost too much. It's more profitable to manufacture cheaply overseas, and sell over-priced, high-margin goods (Apple iPhone X, anybody?) to the complacent consumer.

your right its very sad. last time I was there back in 2007 I had to get a new radiator for my truck and the only autozone that had one was in down town Youngstown. when I walked in I seen a security guard standing behind the counter with a vest on and a gun on his hip. because I believe a week before one of the auto zone employees was shot and killed. I had grown up in North lima and always tried to avoid Youngstown if I could because of the crime. if they can get the crime under control and have people ban together to help fix up the town and make it more appealing to company's to move there. it could come back and be a very nice place again. but they cant wait on anyone from the government to do it for them. that's what they have done for years and it isn't working.

More jobs were created in 2016 than 2017. The economy was beginning to surge before Trump was elected, but I know how people like to ignore reality. I think that's what annoys me the most about Trump supporters. They just don't live in reality anymore.
The unemployment rate was 4.6 when Trump was elected. It is now 3.9. Almost to a tee going down at the same rate pre election. I think the tax break while it gave a little boost, is going to hurt us in the long run. Sometime next year we're going to start seeing a major downturn due to Tariffs and the deficit skyrocketing (Obama actually reduced the deficit by about half).
